Chapter 5: Exposure Exposure Exposure!

Riko and I are  having lunch in the Hotel Cafeteria. It had a buffet and it was mostly packed with students from our school.  After what had happened yesterday in the bathroom with Ryu, he dissapeared...or I guess she? I had wanted to talk to Ryu about what happened but it seemed she had been avoiding me. I saw her with the supposed harem. Now that i think about it do the girls know about Ryu being a girl? 

"Hm, I did not expect this." i had read out my thought and Riko hearing this asked. I don't wanna tell her about Ryu as she was at the right for the first time.

"You know how you said that-" Before i could tell Riko about what happened last night. Ryu interrupted me.

"Hideyoshi. Can i talk to you?" Ryu was still wearing the schools boys uniform. I looked at Riko and excused myself. We both walked in a secluded area outside the hotel. Ryu had a serious expression back there is she mad at me? 

"Ryu listen I-" Once again before i could finish talking Ryu interrupted me.

"Hideyoshi, Whatever you saw yesterday, Please don't tell anyone."

"I-I won't, I mean i'm sure you have a reason as to why you're dressing up as a boy and you don't have to tell me why." I said.

"No, i think i owe you an explanation."

"You don't have to-"

"Do you know what demons are?"

No no no no. If Ryu tells me about this i'll be targeted by demons as well and my life as a sidecharacter would be ruined. 

"Demons? ofcourse they're like the souls of people that have died and were sent to hell."

"They're real. I am part of a bloodline that have been hunting, capturing and supressing demons. For hundred of years my Ancestors have passed on what we call Artifacts. There are dozens of Artifacts that have been carried and used warriors for centuries. I for one Hold the Artifact of King Arthur. The Excalibur. Not only that we have what is called Familiars they are spiritual beings that possessed immense powers. as far as i know Familiars have been around since the first Appearance of Demons. My familiar is a spirit called the red dragon."

Crap. Now im a part of the main story now. If Ryu had not told me about this i would have been a side character but now i'm in the main story. This is bad i need to get out of this.

"Hahahaha. What are you saying? Demons? No way they're real if they were, they would have been out there wreaking havoc. And King arthur? i know you're half English but come on."

Ryu still had the same serious expression. and ignored my remark.

"The reason, i was dressed up as a boy, acting as a boy. For generations the first born child of each Dogarohin family is a boy, It was guranteed And i was the first, in our family to be the first born child as a daughter the news of my birth was a suprise to many it was a big deal but it was kept a secret. My family isn't the only one supressing demons. There are others, some are more than willing to cooperate and others not so much. My father is currently the Head of Kings of Humanity. It is an organization that secretly works in the shadows and is considered a powerful force they also do not protect humanity from Demons but also maintain the order to the bearers of Artifacts and Spirits. But being a head of a powerful organization doesn't make you invincible. Before i was even born there had been rumors that other Kings have been working with Demons to take the Head position from my father. Due to this, my father became paranoid. My father and mother both agreed for me and my sisters to be transferred here to Japan to be away from the dangers of the Kings and Demons as there was a good chance we would be used againts my father. So i was told to Pretend to be a boy and change my name as it may help me lay low. But it did not matter as i had been found. The Demons had a gate in England that they use to Come to the mortal world. The demons take another 300 years to break the seal but it had been found out that they have opened another gate and it had been yet to be found."
