↪𝘊𝘏𝘈𝘗𝘛𝘌𝘙 2 : 𝘚𝘛𝘙𝘈𝘞𝘉𝘌𝘙𝘙𝘠 𝘎𝘐𝘙𝘓

I'd woken a little earlier than my alarm today, which was a little surprising. Faelyn wasn't up yet but I had just gotten the confirmation email about the tickets, which I had bought around 35 minutes ago. It was weirdly exciting, although I knew basically nothing about these people I knew Fae absolutely loved them and seeing her happy made my heart melt. I decided it was about time to get ready as soon I would be hearing my little sister bound up the stairs to start nagging at me to leave.

I slipped on a pleated denim mini skirt and a zebra print top that secured around a silver hardware loop and, not very gracefully may I add, plopped myself down in front of my full length mirror. I looked around scouring the floor for my eyeliner, I spotted it in the corner of my vision and reached out, over and under some clothes, just barely catching it in my grasp. I began to apply a thick black line to my lid finishing off with some concealer which was sitting at the base of my mirror, I wasn't one for a lot of make up, just a bit here and there.

"Done" I whispered under my breath.

And as if right on queue there came the plodding of a small girl who was making her way up to my room, the sound getting louder and louder with each step until she was stood just behind me.

"Can we leave now Irie?" She asked fondly

"Yup I'm almost done" I say wedging my feet into some Mary Janes and pulling myself up off the floor.

"Shall we?" I say in a thick British accent while holding out a hand in front of me ushering Fae out of the door as if I were her personal butler.

"We shall" She mimicked back to me stepping out and heading downstairs towards the car.

I grabbed my keys and locked the door behind me shouting out to my mother that we'd be back in about an hour or so and to call if she needed anything.

The drive was relatively short to the shopping mall near our house, maybe 5 minutes or so. We arrived in good time and I was quickly pulled from shop to shop being asked my opinion on almost every item of clothing Fae could get her hands on. In the end we decide on a baggy pair of jeans and an oversized jumper which read UCLA in big bold university font. I had slipped a blue beret clip into the mix last minute at the counter while I was paying as it complimented the outfit perfectly, well, in my humble opinion at least.

"We've been here for like.... ever." Fae groaned clasping her stomach.

"Im so frickin hungry Irie can we please go get some food??" I nodded down towards her asking what food she wanted. After a bit of bartering, we landed on sushi as our final choice. We found a table and I left Fae to wait with the bags while I went to grab the food. After a quick transaction I had acquired the package and began to make my way back to the table. As I approached I noticed a look of shock and excitement on my sisters face.

"Whats up?" I ask sitting down across from her.

"oh not much.... OTHER THAN DREAM, GEORGE AND SAPNAP HAVE LANDED IN SYDNEY LIKE 5 HOURS AGO" she exclaimed catching me a bit off guard, I let out a small giggle at her antics as I handed her her sushi. She began to go into depth of how her 'favourite EVER EVER streamer' Dream, her words not mine, had just recently done a face reveal at TwitchCon San Diego and she explained that she thinks he is much cooler now that he has a face, this went on for some time until she had got to the point of showing me pictures of all the streamers coming. She somehow managed to barely turn the phone at all leaving me to have absolutely, still, no idea what any of these people looked like.

BUZZ BUZZ

I looked down. A vibration rang from my pocket. I pulled the phone out of my jeans while staring at the notification.

MUM MOTHER

Hey can you pop into coles(*) and grab some fruit, planning on making a fruit salad :-)

IRIS DEAR FIRST DAUGHTER

yeah i can do that, we should be back pretty soon

MUM MOTHER

cool ill see you then

I slid my phone back into my pocket grabbing Fae by the hand, half a piece of sushi hanging from her mouth, briskly explaining we needed to head to coles. muffled words fell from her lips but they were inaudible.

We arrived at coles and I quickly began to pile food into our cart.

"Hmmm, strawberries, apples, watermelon, pears, peaches, anything else?" I turned to look at my sister. She shook her head to signify she though that was about enough fruit for today. I nodded back and we made our way to the self serve checkout. After paying it was clear that both of us were done with being out in public today, one glance at each other and we had created a secret code, it meant; let's get the f*ck out of here as quickly as possibly. Perhaps with a bit less swearing on my 12 year old sisters end.

We rapidly made out way back to the car. Strawberries in my hand, the rest of the food being carried by Fae inside the HNM clothing bag we had gotten earlier today.

THUD

In less than a second I was knocked onto the floor. I'd run into a tall boy, maybe 6'3, and he'd made the strawberries scatter all over the carpark.

"God I'm so sorry." His voice was warm, and his accent was definitely not Australian, he seemed American, or maybe Canadian? He knelt down grabbing the berries that fell near him up in one hand.

"Here" He gestured towards the empty plastic container I held filling it with a few strawberries and helping me up.

"Its fine" I muttered, not being able to make eye contact, embarrassment filling me, i tried to focused on the wasted food to distract from what had happened but it was no use.

"Here" I say tossing the car keys to Fae motioning for her to go put the groceries in the trunk while i'd finish up here. I finished picking up most of the berries and quickly began my walk of shame, head still down, back to the car, almost completely forgetting about the boy that was stood behind me who had watched the whole thing unfold.

"uhh, SEE YOU AROUND? MAYBE? STRAWBERRY GIRL" he yelled after me, all I could think to do was throw my arm up in the air and wave as I slung the car door open, folding myself inside, my face now glowing red.

"I would say mission success?" My sister chirped quietly from the passenger seat earning a large sigh from me.

I wonder who Iris met today at the shops? What a Coincident that Dream landed a few hours beforehand huh :) Hope this chapter was cool enough for you guys !! bit of a filler leading up to TwitchCon hehe :D I'd love to hear your thoughts down below <3!!
