Mary-Kate's P.O.V-

It seemed as if Gray was going to be sitting with us more often with the way things were going between him, Ty, and JJ. Luckily he didn't try to annoy me the whole time, but every time he opened his mouth and spoke to me, I had the urge to punch him in the throat every damn time. When the bell rang signaling lunch was over, I bolted out of the cafeteria faster than when Zayn left One Direction. I must've ran out of there faster than I anticipated, because by the time Emily caught up to me she was already out of breath.

"Jesus fucking christ MK, why are you in such a rush?" She had asked me while grabbing her waist and trying to catch her breath. I handed her my water bottle I had boughten during lunch and let her take a sip while apologizing. "Sorry Em, I just couldn't stand to sit next to him any longer." I said him with so much distaste that Emily didn't even need to ask who I was talking about. After finally regaining her breath, she looked at me as if I had grown two heads. "You know as much as I dislike him, from just our first encounter, you have to admit he really isn't that bad. Your brother seems to like him around us, hell JJ even seems like he wants to suck his dick."

"I thought that was something you wanted to do to JJ though?" I looked at her with a knowing smirk, secretly hoping she would finally admit her feelings for him. She glared at me playfully knowing what I was trying to do. She had then grabbed my hand and continued our conversation while beginning our journey to Chemistry. "Don't try to change the subject on me MK and make me admit something I'm not so sure about myself." I looked up at her since she was just a few inches taller than me standing at 5'7" and decided to mess around with her, "Oh,  so are you insinuating there is something there?" I asked her while snickering. She just playfully glared at me again and tisked at me, "The day I admit my feelings to him, is the day I'm standing at yours and Gray's wedding as maid of honor." I had given her an incredulous look, was she serious

"You're kidding right? I've barely spoken to him let alone gotten to know him. From the short encounters I've had with him, there will be no wedding bells anytime soon and that's coming from, the hopeless romantic. I want someone who is romantic and knows how to treat a girl properly. I don't want some tattooed bad boy who just screams trouble and heartbreak. I want someone who is nice to me." Emily looked down at me and smirked, "Nice is just another word for boring." She had quoted Hardin Scott from the After Series written by Anna Todd. She was only quoting him because I had forced her to watch After with me, and she was now currently borrowing book 1 from me to read it. I scoffed at her and said, " Pack it up Hardin Scott, this isn't some Wattpad romance novel where the good girl ends up with the badboy." I told her while walking into the Chemistry class and took a seat towards the middle. I was an exceptional student, but I wasn't a teachers pet who had to sit in the front. Emily took a seat right next to me and continued our conversation while we waited for the teacher to come to class.

"It's you being oblivious for me, you don't see it do you MK? Gray Ryder is  your Hardin Scott and you're his Tessa Young, just without all the drama and the toxic traits that Hardin possesses. Even though he does begin to work on himself from what you told me about in the second book-" "Get to the point Em." I had cut her off since she was beginning to ramble. I loved her with every fiber in my body, but the girl sure knew how to talk enough for the both of us.

She looked at me and smiled shyly and asked, "I did it again didn't I?" I gave her a small smile and told her to continue what she was saying, secretly hoping for the topic of Gray and I to end. "Like I was saying, you're the main character sis, and as the main characters best friend it is my job to make sure you end up with the guy you're destined to be with." I had rolled my eyes for the millionth time today. " And who is this person I'm destined to be with?" I asked her showing I was getting bored, but continuing the conversation to amuse her. She looked around as if people were listening in on our conversation and leaned in to whisper shout to me, "Gray fucking Ryder that's who!"

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

By the time Ty and I got home, I was tired. I don't ever remember the first day of school being that tiring, but if I had to blame something or more like someone I was going to blame Gray. Turns out I had my last two classes with him, and he took it upon himself to sit right next me. I just knew it was going to be a long year. To succeed and maintain my gpa I just had to endure it and ignore him as best as I could. Hanging my backpack on the back of my door, I took my shoes off and put them back on the rack. I needed a nice shower to relax my muscles so that's what I decided to occupy myself with for the next 30 minutes. I had changed into some grey sweats and a black tank top to go with it. I walked downstairs letting my hair air dry, and looked for something to snack on hoping Ty hadn't eaten everything in the pantry.

Before I could even get to the kitchen there was a knock on the door and not a minute later, JJ and Emily busted through the door. "If you knew the door was unlocked why knock?" I asked while continuing my mission to find food. "To let you know we were entering, we could've been a burglar for all you know." JJ had replied back while making himself right at home on our couch.

I looked at Emily to make sure she heard what I heard and then looked back at JJ as if he was stupid, which he was by the way.

"JJ?"

"Yes MK?"

"Burglars don't knock, that's the whole point of stealing."

"Exactly my point MK."

I just rolled my eyes and motioned for Emily to come to the kitchen with me to help me look for snacks. While looking I heard my brothers feet stomping down the stairs finally realizing his other half was here and seated on our couch. Ty had turned on the T.V. to watch the football highlights with JJ, so they could strategize for the upcoming season. I was never a sports fan myself, but when Ty took up football in middle school, I couldn't help but fall in love with the sport myself, even becoming a big fan of the San Francisco 49ers.

Now if there was one man I was going to marry it was going to be Nick Bosa, number 97 on the field but number 1 in my heart.

I had grabbed a bowl of pretzels and some sodas and took a seat next to Ty, while he turned to me, "You're going to wear my number to my games right?" Since Ty never settled down, I was the girl who always wore his jersey number since it was tradition for the players to give their girlfriends their jersey number to wear. "You already know I'm going too, unless you find a girlfriend and settle down." He just looked at me and scoffed, "That's never going to happen." I decided to turn to JJ and ask him who he was giving his jersey number to this year, since last year it was his older sister Raine, before she graduated from Blue Mountain.

"I have a girl in mind but I'm scared to ask, because I don't know how she feels about me yet." He told me while quickly looking over to Emily, but she didn't notice since she was still in the kitchen cooking a frozen pizza for us. As her best friend it was my mission to get them to admit how they felt about each other so that way Emily could wear his jersey, and finally be with the guy she actually likes.

Deciding to drop the subject we just watched football highlights and a few movies before my parents came home from work and called it a night.

Now I just had to get a good nights rest and prepare myself to face Gray again tomorrow, before I got a murder charge on my record.
