Chapter 7

The Interview

Percy's POV

"You ready Perce?" Jason yelled from my Prius. We were heading down to an interview as a promotion for our world tour.

"Coming."

I slid behind the wheel and began driving. "Why can't we take a cab? Or call Jules-Albert? But nooo... I'm Percy and I need to take my old Prius..." Nico asked and badly imitated me. "Shut up Nico. It just reminds me when we just started." I responded and turned the radio on.

"Is there something Aphrodite absolutely can't ask about?" A guy named Mitchell according to his nameteck. "Ehm... I don't know. Maybe not too much personal, we are coming here to talk about the world tour and not our personal life."

"Okay I will tell her." And with that Mitchell left.

"So, just a month guys! Then we are on our world tour! Away for a few months. Isn't that exciting? I always love the world tours." Jason rambled, but saw my face fall. "Oh come on Perce! You normally like it! What could be different now?" Then realisation hit him. "No! This isn't about missing your girlfriend! Come on Perce. A world tour! Europe! Asia! The world!" I began to stand and walk to the door. "It's time, come on guys."

Jason put on the same voice as Nico did earlier in the car. "I'm Percy and I don't want to go on a freaking world tour!" "I never said that! I'm just going to miss her! Now come on." I yelled at them. Nico almost dying from laughter.

"May I introduce you to these cousins? They began playing in their garage and later began performing in bars, what they still do, where they got discovered and are now going on a world tour! These are Percy Jackson, Jason Grace and Nico di Angelo from the band 'the Demigods'!

When we called on stage the crowd cheered, which was still a weird feeling after so many times doing it. "Hey guys." I said with a grin and a wave.

"So how have you been guys?" The host, Aphrodite asked.

"We've been good thanks. Very excited for the world tour." Jason said, almost cracking up.

After answering some questions about new and old songs the other questions came.

"Well, Nico we all know about you and your boyfriend Will, still going strong?"

"Yes, we've been together for some more over two years." Nico answered. Smiling. "He is actually sitting in the crowd I think." Aphrodite said with a smirk which surprised Nico. And then the camera shifted to the crowd and there was Will laughing. "Wait what?" Nico asked.

"So how old were you when you guys met? How old are you now? What do you do for a living? How is Nico in real life?" Aphrodite bombarded Will with questions. "Wow, uhm. That's a lot. Well Neeks was 18 and I was 19 when we met. We started dating right away and I met him at one of his concerts." Will smiled up at Nico. "I'm 21 and Nico is 20 now, but you probably already knew that already. And I'm still studying to be a doctor. And Nico is just Nico in real life. As Percy and Jason by the way. Hey guys!" Will smiled and the camera turned back to Aphrodite smiling sweetly. While we were sitting there stunned. "I thought we were just talking about the tour and music, we especially said." I murmured.

"Guess we are doing it anyway." Nico murmured still in shock.

"And Jason, do you have a girlfriend?" Aphrodite continued, intruding on our personal life.

"Ehr... No." Then he recovered himself and smiled. "Just keeping things casual and taking time for the music."

"Yeah sure. What about the girls Nico and I always make breakfast for in the mornings when you are already gone?" I whispered to him with a smirk.

"Like I said, casual." He said while going red.

"Can I ask you guys something?" Aphrodite asked.

"Sure." I said with a sarcastic smile.

"Do you guys live together or apart and maybe you can tell the story about your music career again."

"Yeah, sure." Relieved that Aphrodite probably forgot about me. And liking to talk about music. "So we first started in Jason's garage in the summer when I was 14 and Nico and Jase were 12 and 13. We rehearsed and wrote our own songs for 3 years and then we decided to get some money and try to perform in bars. Actually we did some performances in high school, like on prom and talent shows. So I was 17, Jason 16 and Nico 15. We were discovered after two years and got a record deal. I was in college then and actually finished last year. And now, here we are, another four years later. Now 23, 22 and 21. A couple of albums, one world tour and now another world tour in a month." I finished and looked at Jason and Nico if they wanted something to add.

"And Percy I still have to ask you, how is the love for you? And do you have had many girlfriends? And I want to know more about this mysterious girl on your instagram, last time you posted a selfie of you guys sitting backstage with the band. With the caption: 'My girlfriend and the gang.'"

She didn't forget me after all.

"Oh, well. I've had one girlfriend before my current girlfriend. We were dating through highschool till we were 19. A little bit after we were discovered." I was thinking which information I should tell Aphrodite about Annabeth. We had already discussed it. She said that it was fine. "So my girlfriend's name is Annabeth and she is the smartest and most beautiful person in the world. And we have been dating for something more than 8 months." I smiled at the camera hoping that Aphrodite was satisfied with this answer.

"That's amazing! Well I loved having you guys. And you-" She turned to the camera. Go to their concerts and buy their new album! I will see you after the commercial break!"

I let out a breath I didn't realise I had been holding on and walked backstage with Jason and Nico.

"What the fuck was that?" Nico asked. "They literally asked almost everything personal!"

"At least it didn't get all the attention from the music and the tour." I said

"Guess that's the price for being famous." Jason shrugged. "Come on I wanna go home." 

A/N

So... I liked this one. It's maybe a little dry, but it's nice for the time line. Sorry for the late update, but I also wrote some one shots.
