Chapter 7: Dream Games' Beginning

On the day of the Dream Games, Claris, Elliot, and Hope are at the Opening Ceremony for the Dreams Games. The Principals from both Schools talk about the ceremony, the rules, the games, and other kinds of rules for safety and such. All the students listen to their principals for the games and what other fun they're going to have.

Hope turns to Claris and says, "This ceremony is kind of boring."

"Probably, but it's important to have the Opening Ceremony, and they explain the games, the rules, and also the fun we're going to have," Claris says.

"I suppose. But why can't Helen and Will sit with us?" Hope asks.

"Because they go to Bellbridge Academy and so they had to sit on the other side with their fellow students," Elliot says.

"That doesn't sound fun. Almost as much that I can't compete in the games with you. I bet it would have been fun," Hope says.

"As much as we like to, but the Games are only for students who go to the school. There are some activists you can do to pass the time and a few open areas to play," Elliot says.

Hope smiles, "That I can't wait to see. The game is going to be so much fun."

Claris giggles and thinks, "It's nice to see Hope happy and surprisingly energetic. I have to say, she reminds me of someone else who loves to have fun and get all excited."

Unknown to Claris and Elliot, especially Hope, they are secretly being monitored from the Nightmare realm. In the Nightmare Realm, Wizeman sees Hope through a large crystal. Along with Wizeman are Reala, Queen Bella, Jackal, Clawz, and a few lower class Nightmarens. The Crystal is one that Wizeman used to watchover the Night world and the Waking world. One side of the Crystal shows Hope who is with her friends. At the other side of the gem, it shows NiGHTS.

Reala says, "Her name is Hope, and she has been staying with one of the visitors for a short time. After making many interactions with her, I've hypothesized that this girl is NiGHTS. And your Reveal Crystal confirms it."

"So this is what became of NiGHTS... are the visitors aware of this?" Wizeman questions.

"From what I've witnessed, they have no clue that their friend Hope is really NiGHTS. What's more, it appears that NiGHTS also lost her memories and her powers were suppressed," Reala says.

"So that's why you've been keeping a close eye on Hope, and here I thought you like her," Jackals says, with a grin.

Reala sternly turns to Jackle, "What?"

"But you have to admit, this does explain what that girl acted like she has seen us before, especially you, Reala," Queen Bella says.

"So what do we do exactly? If that girl is NiGHTS, then we will need to be vigilant. We will need to strike once the Visitors are out of her sight," Clawz says.

"Not so Clawz. There might be another for us to capture NiGHTS without the use of violence," Wizeman says.

Jackle says, confused, "What? Why not?! NiGHTS is a human with no powers and no memory. She is completely helpless, and won't be able to fight. And then we can blast those visitors while we add it."

Wizeman angrily says, "Silence Jackle, that plan will draw too much attention to the humans and will draw more attention to the four visitors. They will suspect something if you act."

"So then we must come up with a more calmer way of getting to NiGHTS without drawing the 'visitors' attention to us," Queen Bella says.

"Question is how she would rather stay with those visitors. Not saying that she doesn't trust us or suspect anything, but she rather hang out with them," Jackle says.
