(Natsu POV)

I woke up before Lucy. Thank Mavis! She would've seriously been pissed off if she woke up and saw how we were lying.

I looked at her sleeping face, the sunlight not yet reaching her perfect form. I wondered if she would remember last night. I sweatdropped, not wanting to be here when she did.

Slowly, so as not to wake Lucy up, I got up from the bed. Grabbing my clothes, I got dressed. Making sure that I don't leave any trace of my being here, I left for the guild, closing the window behind me.

As I walked along the streets, I thought back to last night. My face immediately heated up at the memories. I don't think I'll ever forget the way Lucy moved. Gods! I wanted to turn around and do it again with her.

But I don't even know if she will remember last night. I mean, how could she not? It was......perfect. It felt right with Lucy.

Suddenly, an idea hit me. I should do something for her. Ya, I know, to show my love for her. Love?

I stopped in my tracks and placed a hand on my heart. Is this what it felt like? Did I love Lucy?

I knew I did but didn't know if she felt the same. After last night, I knew she did. I knew she was the one.

I continued to the guild. There should be at least one request I could make. I would need many jewels if I were going to get what I wanted for my Luce.

My Luce? Where did that come from? My face heated up at that thought, but it still felt right. As I reached the guild, I saw Mira unlocking the doors. I rushed forward, raising my hand in greeting.

"Hey, Mira!" I called out.

"Natsu? Well, you're up early, aren't you?" Mira said, turning around with a smile on her face.

"Yeah," I said, chuckling, my hands behind my head. "I need a job. I wanna get something, but I'm low on the cash." I explained as we walked in. The guild was clean as no one was here yesterday. Then again, Mira always makes sure the guildhall is clean before locking it up for the night.

I went to the request board, looking at the few requests there while Mira took chairs off tables. I made sure to study the requests carefully as I was gonna need all the jewels I could get for what I needed it for.

Then I saw the perfect request. No one had taken it yet because it was super dangerous. It called for someone to slay a two-headed beast hiding in a nearby canyon. It might have been dangerous, but the pay was worth it.

I grabbed the request and showed it to Mira.

"Oh my!" She exclaimed. "You sure you don't want to wait for your team to go with you on this one?" Mira asked, looking at me. I rubbed the back of my head.

"Nah, I need all the jewel I can get. Besides," I added, "I can take down some ugly beast by myself. I don't need that Ice Prick hogging all the fun." I said, scowling. Just thinking about Gray hogging all the glory got my blood boiling.

"Alright then. If you're sure about this." Mira said, going behind the bar to take down notes in a big book. She handed me the request paper, and I was on my way out the door.

Looking at the flyer, I felt sick, knowing I would have to take a long train ride to get to this River Village. Oh, man! It was gonna take me 2 whole weeks of being on a train and then a carriage to get to that stupid village. I felt my face turn green as I leaned over the wall to throw up in the river.

(Lucy POV)

I woke up to the sun shining through my curtains, blinding my closed eyes and increasing the pain in my head. I threw my arm over my eyes and rolled over to an empty bed. I snuggled deeper into my covers.
