Sayaka POV:
The truth is, I don't know jack shit about gambling. I have know idea how I'm not a house pet or something like that, but I'm glad. That's why when Miri Yobami had asked me to gamble with her, I almost freaked out. I heard Yumeko had almost died from poison when gambling with her and Miyo. I'm not sure why, but I agreed..
"Good, good, now..." We sat down at the table, I felt myself trembling slightly. Miri thought for a moment. "What shall we bet, Igarashi?" I nervously swallowed. "I'm not sure." The short girl giggled. "Well, I think betting money is way too boring. I wanna go with something more valuable."
I noticed how she emphasized the last word in her sentence.
I fucked up.
I'm gonna loose something valuable aren't I?
Why am I such a dumbass..?
"I think, your life will do."
"What?"
She laughed again. "Your life silly! If you loose, your life will be controlled by me. And if you win, you can control mine."
People started gathering around us, shocked by the situation.
"What's going on?"
"What are they talking about?"
"Is she serious?"
"How about it, Igarashi?"
I know it's risky, considering how much I don't know about card games. But something in my mind told me it would be alright in the end...
"I accept.."
"Woah, really?"
"Is she really gonna go against Miri Yobami? That's crazy!"
The whispers around them from people there to watch had grown louder. It felt like a cold ocean trapping her. She couldn't wait to get this over with.
"How about we play good old fashioned poker? Simple enough.." Miri took out a deck of cards and shuffled them.
I suspect there's some kind of trick or cheat to it.
Time skip bc I don't know how poker works ❤️
I.. lost?
"Oh! What a shame.. I was rooting for you ya know.." Miri laughed evilly, proud she had just earned the secretary's life.
No.. I- I had her figured out.. how did she..?
"Aw?? Is something wrong?" Miri mocked her.
"Sayaka lost her.. What now?"
"Well, she's on the student council, so maybe she'll be left off the hook?"
"I don't know.. this is pretty serious."
The whispers of spectating students grew louder and louder and louder.
A-Am I gonna cry? I feel the tears in my eyes. I can't help it.. I just lost my life to someone from the Momobami clan.
"Woah wait. Is that the president coming?!"
Oh no. Whats she gonna think of this?
Kirari POV cause yeah 👍:
You're kidding. I barely come back from the bathroom from crying and find out my Sayaka was gambling!? She's never gambled in her life! What was she thinking!?
I angrily walk through the halls over to where other gamble took place. I noticed people were more scared of me than usual. Possibly because I'm about to beat this Yobami bitch up.
I hear whispers of people fearing for their life as I scowl, speeding up.
As I get there, Yobami looks up at me with fear in her eyes. "H-Hello, President! What's up.." I swiftly slap her. "Shut the fuck up is what, you dumb whore."
Sayaka looked scared. I picked her up and held her close, earning more whispers from people. "Get. Out. Now."
I point to the main school entrance. "You're never welcome here again."
Miri looked terrified. "Y-Yes president." And without another word she left.
I turn my attention to Sayaka crying into my shoulder. "I'm sorry President." I sigh.
I hold her hand and walk her through the halls to my offish [get it lol] and sit her down on my chair that I think she likes to touch.
She hugs me and sobs some more.
"Sayaka, what happened?" I ask her very gently as to not make her feel guilty this happened.
"I-I don't know. I t-thought it wouldn't be that b-bad." Seriously? "Sayaka, the members of the Momobami clan are merciless psychopaths. They'll threaten you to gamble and take away your life." I start crying as well. "I don't wanna see the most important person to me go through that."
Sayaka controlled her breathing. She's holding me tightly, like I'll leave she lets go..
"I know. I thought it wasn't gonna go that bad.."
I kiss her forehead and put my hand on her cheek. "Sayaka, promise me you'll never gamble with anyone like that ever again."
"I promise I won't."
"Good." I play with her hair as I'm sitting on her lap. "I love you so much ya know.."
She chuckled. " I know. I love you more though."
I give her the "wanna fight" look. "Bet."
"Okay bet. I love you no matter what."
"Yeah? Well I'll love you even if I didn't love you."
"I'll love you even if that made sense."
"Well I'd love you even if you were me. That's how much I love you."
...
We burst out laughing. This moment feels so.. calm. It feels so warm and happy. "Kirari, your such a dork.."
"Correction: I'm your dork."
God it felt so right to say I was Sayaka's. It was like we were made for each other.
As cliche and cheesy as that sounds, that's all I could describe it as. We just fit together. Simple.
Sayaka kisses me and I kiss and hug back. "Promise me this'll go on forever. I want you forever."
Sayaka was dozing off. I could tell she stayed up all night doing work again. "Of course, I love you.." I kiss her cheek and put my head on her shoulder.
We both fall asleep in each other's arms. I love this girl so much.
I will protect her from anyone who hurts her.
