He stood with pride,
And as handsome as handsome can.
I fell deep as if I were to never crawl out or to return;
But, swimming in my delusions were like the music never stopped entering in my ears.
As if 'twas the notes from an Orchestra blowing and singing the notes
as I listened,
But disappointed was I,
after hearing thee's reply;
"Love i have for you not,
but I be happy if you can find one's match for me,
And be thy gal as sweet as you seem,
And shall I too
would find a lad for you,
as handsome as handsome can be.
Is it not what you crave for?"
Disappointed, because I wanted no other than him,
And disappointed because I wished for only a confession, so as to get it off my chest.
Instead of quoting 'no',
I paused to think that it may cause conflict.
And so I said,
"All i favour or desire is a lad someone like you,
no less, no more".
He stood there
confound to what I have spoken
and what he had heard.
But smirked and laughed away.2018/3
