Hello to my lovely readers,
Well, here we are. We've reached the end of Volume 2 of "You Better Bring an Umbrella." It's strange to think, given how long I've been working on this one. And I'm sorry there's going to be such a big gap between Volume 2 and Volume 3. I guess I really don't have any control over that, but I still feel bad you'll have to go so long without another addition to the story. Maybe I can think of something to fill the time... I hope though, that if it's just a year and a few months gap, you'll still remember us.
Sequels are, inevitably, never going to be as good as the original, nor as popular. When I was younger, that bothered me quite a bit. The first story in my series is always widely popular, and then there's a significant dip. But, in all honesty, I'm extremely happy with the places this story went as well. It's not even about the numbers, not that it has been for a long time. I always felt so happy, seeing the comments you all made and the kind words you shared with me, and hell, these stories even got featured in a whole ass article (https://worldnewsera.com/lifestyle/books/dont-miss-these-21-umbrella-academy-fanfiction-stories-book-riot/)!
I know I'll always be known for How to Train Your Dragon and Descendants. I'm certainly happy that at least people know me for something, but I have hope that this series will become something remarkable as well. My writing and storytelling abilities will always be improving, but for now, these two stories are my crowning achievement. Volume 1 was my first story to break 500 favorites, and it brought in a whole new world of readers, even though I was about a year late hopping on board the Umbrella Academy train. I just cannot thank you all enough for the joy you bring me when I write these stories.
I'll see you all sometime in the future. Sending love until then!
