Chapter 5

Clarke

I came across a shed in the area we were searching. "I found something!" I shout at the two dweebs on the opposite side of the woods. I go in as I hear them run over, sneakily I search the shed, I notice a loose board and kick it, to my surprise it moves and uncovers a hole.

I notice familiar hair. "Luna? It's Raven." Raven runs over and says. The girl looks up and it is in fact Luna with heart eyes looking at Raven. How adorable.

Raven helps Luna out of the hole and they kiss for a good 30 seconds. "Are you love birds done yet?" Octavia murmurs, they stop "Oh hush like you and Lincoln didn't wake up half of Polis last night." Raven snips out. Octavias cheeks redden. "We need to catch a few animals so we're able to hide Luna and get her safely to Ravens room. We put the animals in sacks along with Luna. When the guards ask what's in the sacks we tell them dinner and show them one of the animals." I imply. They nod, agreeing.

We catch a panther and two deer. We arrive outside of the tower, "What's in the sacks?" A man asks "Dinner." I pull the panther out of one and he nods. We head to the lift and carry the sacks in. So far everything's going as planned.

We put the actual animals in the dining area for the cooks to get. We make sure everything's clear and we get our last sack to Ravens room. Surely, there's Lexa walking towards us. Shit. Raven gives me a worried look.

"Heda." The two girls say, "Lexa." She corrects them, "Lexa" Octavia says. "Where are you girls headed to?" "My room" Raven blurts, I notice Raven eye balling the sac-Luna and Lexa. I budge her to get her to focus. Lexa notices, "What's in the sack?" "Things we got from the market!" Raven yells, making it obvious that wasn't the truth. "Clarke?" She says "Uhm just, just dinner?" "Your dinner seems to still be alive." She says looking at the sack moving, damnit Luna you had one job. Lexa goes to grab the sack but Raven barges in front of it.

"No!" Raven yells, "Raven what's in there?" "Nothing!" "Clarke tell me." I give Raven an "I'm sorry" look before I tell Lexa, "It's Luna but hear us out she means no harm, she's here because Raven needs her and she loves Raven. She wouldn't hurt the people Raven cares about." Luna struggles to get out of the sack as Raven helps after laughing at her failed attempts. "Please Lexa Raven has lost so much, she needs this. If not for Raven, for me?" I know Lexa can't say no to me. "But what will I tell my people Clarke? That I'm letting someone who showed weakness by leaving the conclave stay in my home?" "We'll figure it out we always do." I assure her. "No Clarke this is showing vulnerability" she says looking me in the eyes.

"You may be the Commander Lexa but you're still human, and wether we want to believe it or not we all have a vulnerable side. And your people will have to deal with that, you will figure out a way to welcome Luna in your home with acceptance of you-our people." "I guess I can figure something out." She says

"I have some things to do but I'll be back soon." Lexa says as she gives me a kiss on the cheek and walks off.

"In honor of Lexa letting Luna stay in Polis" Raven says jokingly while holding a cup of monty's moonshine I stole on one of my trips to the Ark in her hand, "We are all gonna party until we drop to the floor. This is a night to Luna ladies!" She sits down and pulls out a device she stole from mount weather and connects it to a radio she finished building and plays music. Louder than anything, but tonight is our night no matter who we wake up.
