Fast forward months............
This snow here is blowing me.Even though I been living in Chicago my whole life I still can't stand snow. When I graduate I plan on going to LSU or some college in Florida. I haven't told Derrick that I got accepted to LSU. I'm actually scared I don't know what hes going to say or do.
I will graduating in like 4 months and i have to go down their during our spring break.Lola got accepted too so we definitely going to be living together. Lola told Rio the day she got her letter.He's from there he said he didn't have a problem moving back.
I just got done helping my favorite teacher Ms. Leslie.She's like a second mom.I can come to her about anything.She knows about when Derrick got shot,when I thought I was pregnant,to me getting kick out,just everything.She knew I applied to colleges out of state but I didn't tell her I got accepted to any.
"How's everything",Ms. Leslie asked.
"Good,ready to graduate and go off to college".
"That good have you got any letters back".
I looked down and then back up at her.My eyes started to water.
"Whats wrong Chanel",She said coming over to me.
I wipe my tears before speaking.
"I got an acceptance letter to LSU",I cried.
"Derrick doesn't know",She spoke.
I nodded and continue to cry.I know have to do what's best but Derrick is my everything and I love him.
"You have to tell him.If he loves you he will understand everything.He knows how much college means too you and how you want to get out of Chicago."
I nodded and wipe my tears.
"Babe you ready",We heard a voice say.
We turn around and their Derrick stood looking good.I nodded and grab my stuff and then gave Ms Leslie a hug.I walked toward him and he wrap his arm around my shoulder.
We was walking down the hall.
"Why was you crying",He asked me looking down.
"No reason",I said looking straight.
He didn't say nothing back which was good cause I didn't feel like hearing his mouth.We walk out and just walking home. We talk a little and laughing cause he was talking about the math teacher.When we made it home we spoke to his grandparents then walk into the room and change.
I was sitting doing my homework when Derrick said he would be back.He kissed me and then left.I was bored watching tv waiting for Derrick to come home.Lola called me and told me she wanted to visit LSU earlier.We did have a couple days off before spring break.
I had to call her cause I dont know if I could tell Derrick this.
"Hello",She answered.
"We have a problem",I said.
"What".
"I haven't told Derrick about the letter from LSU".
"What the hell Chanel.Im thinking you told him this whole time",Lola said pissed.
"I know but i don't know how to tell him and we going to get into".
"Well you need to tell him".
"I know".
"I talk to you please tell him".
"Ok",Then I hung up.
I was going to tell him tonight but I got scared and I went to sleep before he came home.
This is going to be harder than I thought.
