Tell No Lies

Chapter 4

You've got to be shitting me. I sat up finding human Kyle with another wolf on top of him, snarling with their teeth bared. Who in the hell is crazy enough to attack the alpha? Unless Kyle lied.

I stood up, not really sure what to do. I mean hello, it's not like I can tell the wolf to get back but I can't just leave Kyle like this. I mean sure we have our love hate relashionship like I said and sometimes I wish he got eaten by a wolf but it'd be weird without him.

Without much thought, I lunged at the other wolf. Woah! Shocking myself, I knocked the other wolf sideways, making um- Him stumble to catch his footing. That was awesome!

Kyle started scurrying backwards while I had the pack member distracted. Um- Right, I have teeth. Nipping at his nose, i didn't really want to hurt anyone. I mean I could probably do some damage but- Woah!

The wolf knocked me backwards, snarling in my face. Oh bloody hell. Guess I gotta fight to cause pain. 

Taking a chance, I jumped up and caught their throat in my jaws. Fight me now mother fricker! Not so tough now, are you? Both of us let out howls of pain as something came flying at us and knocked us to the side. My jaws tightened closed and blood started pouring everywhere. Uh oh...

Slowly, I got to my paws and looked around. One of the new members stared down at the grey wolf I was just fighting with. My lips pulled back in a snarl. Don't you dare jump at me.

" Daciana." Kyle called making my ears shoot up. " Back off and home. Now!"

Did I do something wrong? I was just standing up for him, whys he mad? Aren't you supposed to stand up for your pack? I just- I thought I was doing the right thing. At least I can be a human at his house. I started trotting after him and together we headed up the steps.

He opened the door letting in a warm gush of air. Oh that's nice... I slowly stepped in and let the warmth surround me. Wait a sec- No no! Let me back out! I whined at the door, jumping at the handle. I cannot shift in front of him! Not again!

Kyle wrapped his arms around my neck and pulled me back away from the door.  " Look it- i already saw you shift once so it's not a big deal."

It is a big deal! He's a guy and eyes wander. Before I could even get back to clawing the door,the sudden rush of heat pounded through me and I collapsed. 

As my fur started to shed and bones crunched, a soft blanket draped over me. It would have been comforting if I was in less pain. I let out a groan as my spine straightened and head throbbed.

Quicker than last time, the pain came to a stop and I lay on the floor with nothing but a blanket covering me. I hate shifting back for this exact reason. It's embarassing...

Kyle threw my clothes at me just as my phone started to ring where I left it on the counter. He grabbed it and answered. Um excuse me! That's my phone! " What up."

Oh my god, let's pray it isn't one of my parents... Or Laurent... Please don't it let be Laurent.

" Who am I? Who the hell are you?"

He suddenly hung up and crouched down by me with my phone in his hand. " Who's Laurent?" He questioned. If I hadn't known better I'd say there was jealousy lingering in his voice.

Quickly coming up with a lie, I tried to get him to back off. " My boyfriend." 

He leaned in closer. " I don't like liars ... Do you know what happens when someone lies to me?"

Fuck. How the hell does he know I lied?

A small touch of a smirk lifted the corner of his mouth. " I punish them." He finished before yanking the blanket from me and grabbing my wrist, dragging me away from the door.
