i woke up as the sunlight hit my eyes. i groaned and faced the other way for the sun to hit my back instead. i slept for another 5 minutes and woke up to knocking on my door.

i opened my eyes and rubbed them before stretching real quick and ran to the door. as i opened the door, i fixed my hair quickly. i saw Ray outside my door, hands in his pockets/pants?

"mama, made me wake you up. it's time for breakfast too.", he said, averting his eyes from mine.

"oh, okay, tell her i'm coming down in a sec.", i replied.

Ray nodded and he walked away. i closed the door and properly fixed my hair. after that, i went down and splashed my face with water.

i went into the dining room and saw mama and Sister Krone. i muttered a ' good morning ' and sat in my seat.

we all prayed before eating out food. i noticed that the others were already done, but i couldn't care less. i was eating at my own pace.

as i was deep in thought while eating, someone tapped my shoulder. i flinched a bit and turned around to see Emma and Norman looking at me while smiling.

"hi! we both noticed that you hang out with mama and Sister Krone more, so we just wanted to ask something. . .", Emma said.

Norman just nodded along with her.

"sure, ask away.", i replied.

"why don't you try befriending the other children here at the orphanage?", Emma asked while tilting her head.

i hummed at the question.

"you could say that i'm more of a shy person. if you're the one approaching me, then i can talk with you comfortably. i'm not the type to approach people and befriend them.", i explained.

Emma made an ' oh ' sound and Norman just nodded.

"why did you ask?", i now asked them back.

"oh, we were just wondering. by the way, i'm Emma and this is Norman! nice to meet you!", she replied.

"nice to meet you too, Norman, Emma! you already know me, hehe.", i said and smiled at them.

i finished eating and i put away the dishes. Norman and Emma called me outside and i followed them.

we were finally talking with eachother and getting to know one another better. i remembered the place i went to.

"oh, i just remembered!", i said out loud.

"hm? what is it?", Emma said.

"what are you thinking, y/n?", Norman said.

"there's a place that i wanna show you guys! you can bring another person if you want. i'll lead you guys the way.", i said.
