i talked to the voice before and got to know more about what was happening. after some time, i finally had my answer, i was still hesitant on my answer, but i went for it.

"i've decided.", i said.

"your answer?"

"i choose ______. can i do something before i leave?"

"very well. what's your proposal?"

i was back in the orphanage and it seems that they've escaped. the orphanage was now burning.

the babies were outside, confused but they weren't fazed. i went to the cliff, more like floated down and saw them crossing the cliff.

i smiled,

"you guys are doing well."

"y/n!", Ray and Emma exclaimed in unison.

"y/n, where did you go? you scared me y'know?", Emma said.

i chuckled and smiled at them, 

"i'll tell you after all of us crosses the cliff.", i said.

they both nodded and the other children continued to cross the cliff. i saw that mama was coming and i ushered them to go faster. Ray and Emma already crossed the cliff, i was there, wondering if i should also explain to mama.

i'll tell her.

i turned to my right and saw mama.

"hi mama, i'll explain to you everything right now.", i said and smiled at her.

she was just there, standing while looking at me, not saying at word.

"you see, mama, i'm not supposed to exist here. i never was. something was wrong and it was me, existing in this world. it may sound confusing, but i was never supposed to be here, i'm supposed to be in a world where you guys are just fictional characters and you guys don't exist. i'm sorry i didn't tell you sooner, mama, i love you, i hope you forgive me.", i explained and crossed the cliff.

as i landed, they immediately cut the rope off. i finally told someone the truth. i sighed, it's time for the others to know too.

i looked at back mama and saw her looking in our direction, it seems like she was still trying to comprehend what i just told her.

i was not running with the kids and there we finally made it to another cliff, the sun was rising.

i noticed that my hand was glitching, i had no more time.

"guys, i need to tell you the truth.", i said.

"huh? what truth?", Emma asked.

the others were confused as well but i'm gonna go straight to the point.

"i'm not supposed to exist in this world. that's the reason why i suddenly went to the orphanage, i was supposed to be a mama since Isabella also didn't know that i wasn't supposed to be here. my age, that was a lie. me not knowing about these demons, that was also a lie. you guys are just fictional characters in my world, i just suddenly got transferred here and i will die if i stay here. a voice gave me a choice actually. it's a choice that i spent hours thinking about. i'm sorry i never told you about this.", i explained to them.

"y/n. . . why didn't you tell us?", Emma said, her voice wavering.

"y/n. . .", Ray said.

"i'm sorry.", was all i could say.

what else should i say? i frowned, feeling the tears prick my eyes.

"y/n. . ", Emma sobbed, tears spilling out of her eyes.

i just looked at the ground, accepting what she was saying. i deserve this anyway. i saw my glitching hand has suddenly stopped glitching, it seems that the voice gave me more time.

"y/n. . you promised.", Ray said, looking at me, tears also filling his eyes.

"i did, didn't i?", i said, my voice cracking.

that was the last straw.

tears spilled from my eyes and i couldn't make a sound, i deserved this so why. . .

why did it feel like this?

Emma went up to me and made me look into her eyes, tears were also spilling from her eyes.

all of the sudden, she hugged me. Ray approached as he hugged me too. both of them were sobbing into each of my shoulders.

"don't leave us, big sis y/n!", the other children said.

Don and Gilda, they were staring at me, crying as well.

"don't leave us, y/n. .", both of them said.

my eyes widened as i realized.

i made a big impact on them, they're attached to me. . . i didn't even realize.

more tears escaped my eyes as i fell on my knees, just realizing how much i influenced them.

"i- i'm so sorry", my voice almost came out as a whisper due to how hard i was trying to not sob.

the two sobbing into my shoulders pulled away and they gave me a small smile.

"i- i'm sorry, it's your choice if you want to stay here or not.", Emma said, sniffling.

"i should be the one saying that, but i appreciate it.", i replied and gave them a small smile back. we all wiped our tears away and went back to normal.

"Ray-"

"y/n-"

me and Ray locked eyes and stared at each other before our smiles became wider and giggled.

"you guys can go ahead, it seems that we both have something to tell each other.", Ray said to the others.

they all nodded and left but not before Emma smirked at Ray and gave him a small thumbs up. i didn't notice at all.

Ray pretended he didn't see it, but he sure did. Ray looked at me and smiled a bit,

"now, where do we start?"
