Chapter: 5

Maya's POV

My wrist hurts so much. I'm crying so hard it's blurry. I pull and try to get out of his grip but he won't let me go. I should've just trusted Lucas.

"Joshua! Let go of Maya! Or I'll...I'll...call the police!" Riley threatened.
"U wouldn't call the police on ur own uncle would u riley?" Joshua said
"Yes she would!" Farkle yelled
"Joshua....please I'll do anything....just let go of me!" I begged.
He's acting really scary. I'll do anything to get him off of me.
"Be my girlfriend!" Joshua yelled pulling my into his face gripping me by my waist.
"She would never -" I cut off Lucas
"Fine." I said
"Great" Joshua said dropping my to the ground."we are going on a date tomorrow night. Look hot. Got it?!" He yelled
"Yes. Got it." I said in between sobs.
"Good" Joshua said then He ran upstairs.
I wiped my eyes to see riley, Farkle, and Lucas shocked about what I just agreed to do. Be Joshua's girlfriend.
"Maya! RU ok!" Riley yelled coming over to me helping me off of the ground.
I wiped my tears from my face and stood up. I looked at riley.
"No! Riley, I need help! I don't want to be his girlfriend anymore! He's scary and dangerous and my wrist..." I trailed off. Why would he do this to me?
"Maya why'd u say yes then?" Lucas asked looking a little angry.
"Because....i didn't want him to hurt me." I shouted crying even harder now.
"Maya that's stupid! I could've just helped u! Why do u have to be so stupid!" Lucas yelled at me.
"I'm not stupid! And why didn't u help me then! Huh! I'm so sick of u Lucas! Why can't u see I was just protecting myself!!" I yelled my voice cracking from anger.
"Maya because I-"
"Just tell me I can handle it!" I yelled
"No!"
"Tell me Lucas....Please!!!" I yelled begging him to tell me.
"I LOVE U MAYA!!!!" He shouted then his eyes started to water.
"Why didn't u tell me that!" I yelled crying so hard I collapsed to the ground.
"Maya-"
"No! I could've said no! U could've just told me u loved me! But no! Now i have to go out with someone that scares me and just wants to use me!" I screamed then ran out the door.

I could hear Riley calling my name along with Farkle. No surprise Lucas wasn't. Why didnt he tell me? I could've been hurt, but at least I would've been with him, Lucas, the boy I love.
