Did you ever stare at a gun inches away as it aimed to your head?
It's breathtaking.
Literally and figuratively.
Knowing the fact that behind it, was the face of the only man you've ever loved. You'll see the look of hesitation plastered on his wet eyes. And you'll beg him to pull the trigger and free you from the suffering brought by the world.
I don't exactly remember what happened next as I closed my eyes and wait for him to take courage. He didn't make me wait that long.
You see, he's always like that. He never makes me wait.
The noise was loud enough to ring an excruciating vibration on my ears. It was deafening but somehow I could hear the uncontrollable beating of my heart. It was a special kind of heartbeat that only happens whenever he's around.
But for the first time, the rhythm has changed. From fast paced to slowly, barely fading motion.
And when I opened my eyes, he was there.
The only person who ever set my heart on fire.
And the only man who has the right to make that fire burned into ashes.
