"Stop! Stop! Stop!" I screamed, "Leave me alone! LEAVE ME ALONE!" I ran as fast as my 12 year old legs could. I tripped over a nearby overgrown tree root. Pain surged to my chin and elbows. I glanced back, I see them. I tried to get up, but I couldn't.

The weather was cold, the autumn breeze gaze my knees goosebumps. The trees looked colorful yet dead. The sky was just about before dusk. The wind swayed the trees, its leaves shaking, detaching itself from its branch.

"Huh, what is this, what is this," I whispered under my breath as I rustled my leg. I looked down, my right leg was caught under the root that I tripped on.

The panic started to set in. I glanced back at them, they're closer, I rustled and tugged my leg, "MOVE! MOVE!"

I tried using my arms to try to lift myself up, but the pain, I couldn't take it. I dropped back down onto the ground. I looked down below me. The leaf, it's...bloody. I lightly tapped my chin.

Blood, blood, I see blood.

I glanced back again. "They're gone. Where did they-"

"Up here,"

I turned back and slowly looked up, he grinned at me.

I felt my vision go blurry.

It was a living hell

"Hey you!" Clay ran to me as he handed me a 7/11 slurpee.

"Thanks," I looked down at my drink he just handed me, "Grape? you really hate me don't you." I giggled, taking a sip anyways.

"Fine," He laughed. "Take mine," handing me his Coca Cola flavored one after taking a one last quick sip.

"You've changed," I cried as I looked back to him. My knees wobbled, being too weak to stand I fell to the ground. My hand gripped onto the rails of the bridge. For a moment I tried to find strength to stand back up and face him. I saw it through the bars rails as I was on the ground, that box. I stared at the box, the one once filled with memories slowly sink to the bottom of the river.

At first glance what was inside of the box looked like junk, just random pieces of paper and little items that looked like something you would see in a dumpster. Those pages had meaning, they had words on them that no one could forget. The little items had memories attached to them like souvenirs you could say. But they were the type of souvenirs that made you smile to yourself from nostalgia from just looking at it.

"It's garbage, we don't need it." Clay rested his forearms on the rails, watching the water of the river move.

You couldn't see the box anymore, buried by water, it disappeared into the river, never to be looked at or truly acknowledged again.

" 'we'?" I looked down at the ground, pushing back my tears while gripping onto my shirt.

He smirked, scoffing, "It's ours, well it was ours."

"WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU!" I rushed up to him, grabbing him by the collar of his shirt, shaking him back and forth. "WHY! WHAT DO YOU GET OUT OF THIS?" I continued aggressively shaking his body by his shirt collar.

"STOP!" Clay shoved me to the ground.

I fell back, scratching the bottom of my thigh on the concrete. I slowly started breaking down on the ground, I felt a cold feeling in my nose just before the first tear fell.
