REBORN (ON HOLD)

Chapter 5

The first year enters Hogwarts. Sorting hat starts to sing the song. Professor McGonagall starts her speech and one by one starts to call students for sorting.

"Peter Pettigrew ", Professor McGonagall announced.

He was chosen into Gryffindor along with Sirius, James and Remus. Lily was also sorted into Gryffindor while Severus was into Slytherin due to which both best friends were sad.

"Hermione Potter", the professor announced.

Hermione came forward and sat in a chair.

The sorting hat is put on her head.

"ah! Hermione Potter or should I say, Hermione Granger. Nothing is hidden from me. Last time you were in Gryffindor due to your courage. Where should I put you this time? Ravenclaw is also good for a powerful and intelligent witch like you, you are cunning so can be put in Slytherin, or should I put you in Gryffindor like last time. Tell me, Miss Granger, the main motive of you being in the past."Sorting hat said thinking.

"To stop the war, save lives and protect some innocent souls to become dark before it's too late ", Hermione replies.

" Then the best house for you is... Gryffindor!!! ". Sorting hat announced loudly.

Hermione went to her house table while all her house was clapping for her. She sat with Lily happily. Hermione noticed that Lily and Severus were seeing each other with a sad smile.

"Don't worry Lily, different houses can't break your strong bond with Severus and he will always remain your best friend", Hermione said Lily smiling.

"Thanks, Hermione for your support ", Lily said

After sorting of first-year finish, Headmaster Dumbledore starts his speech. Seeing headmaster Hermione start to feel emotional. She was seeing him for a long time. Even though he was wrong at some places but still he was her inspiration. He is the only one whom she can trust with her secret in this life and who is going to help her in her mission.

After dinner, house perfects took the first year to their common rooms. Hermione sees Gryffindor's common room which was slightly different from the future. She was going to share her room with two other first-year girls.

Hermione classes start the next day. She decided to stay away from the limelight so she stayed quiet in class even though she knew the answer to the questions. Moreover, she doesn't want to take the chance of being first in class from Lily because she already has experienced all these things. She knows all these things already after all she has graduated from Hogwarts already with flying marks in her previous life.

Hermione spends her most time in the library and room of requirements to practice her war skills. Sometimes she studies with Lily and Severus in the library. Severus is not a friend of Hermione till now but he is on talking terms with her.

She became friends with James friends also. Among them Sirius is just like James, a prankster, Remus is mature somewhat, and Peter is very different from future traider Peter, he is innocent and scared like a baby. So Hermione decides to prevent him from becoming a traider, preventing him before he betrays marauders.

She decides to help Severus also, save him from bullying by marauders and save Severus and Lily's friendship.
