"Whath will we do?" Raine asked, looking at me innocently.

"We will get another one princess," I ruffled her hair and handed her another balloon from the pack.

"I'm seriously tired, Ash." Derik groaned dramatically from the other end of the room.

"You have done only a teensy weensy work till yet. Even Raine is more helpful than you." I snorted and stuck my tongue out at him. He responded with a glare.

Raine giggled and gave him a peck on the cheek. Derik literally melted on the floor.

"I agree with Derik. Please don't torture us like this Ash." Kate groaned too while sprawled on the table.

"Oh shush you two! And get to work." I ordered. "You didn't see Jina complaining, did you?" why are they behaving like a litter of kids?

"She is sleep-ing," Raine starts laughing when I hit Jina on the head to wake her up.

She was supposed to count balloons. Instead, she starts counting sheep.

"Two hundred and thirty-eight," Jina mumbled in her sleep.

Two hundred and thirty-eight? I looked on the ground and realise maybe I pushed them a little hard.

A little? Ok, ok a lot hard but I was just too much....enthusiastic. It's like we are standing in a river of balloons about knee length high.

I hope he likes it.

After apologising to Raine that night, I had dinner at Zack's house before she dragged me to her room to show her barbie collection. As I was listening to her made-up stories about ken and barbie something else grabbed my attention. A birthday card. Not just any birthday card but a birthday card for Zack which Raine was preparing for a week.

Then I bombarded the poor kid with my never-ending questions. I found out that Zack's birthday is after a little over a month and she wants to complete it before the big day. For the next three days, I helped her to complete it. We used to work in her room for hours behind Zack's back. I'm not good at drawing.

Zack was seriously concerned for me during those days. He thought I was playing with Raine's dolls.

Aww. He's so naive.

But helping Raine was just a start. I had so much more planned for the day. It was decided that I'll throw a birthday party for him. And when I found out he hadn't celebrated his birthday in years....that was it.

Last week, I met Mrs Smith too. Who to my utter surprise is a single mother and.....hot. She wasn't what I expected. She even has a thing for Zack, any sane person with eyes can see that. But you were looking forward to meeting her? Not I wasn't.

I was overwhelmed by her beauty but Zack looked like his normal self and it assured me a little bit. He wasn't swooning so it had to be a good sign, right?

When she touched Zack's arm for the fifth time during their conversation, I lost my control and practically dragged him out of their house. He looked confused due to my sudden outburst and asked me what's wrong. In return, I just gave him my 'are you serious' look.

Boys! They never know what's going on.

Zack even took me to the restaurant where he works as an assistant chef and introduced me to his co-workers.

Admit it, it felt nice when he held your hand in front of everyone.

I didn't miss jenny's scowl. Apparently, Jenny is our new classmate. She moved to town last year and works as a waitress at the restaurant. To top it off she is in Zack's English class and they looked close....real close, which was annoying.
