"I'll see all you guys in two weeks." I said as I walked out of Sammy's room.

"Where are you going?" Gilinsky called after me and I turned around.

"Summer camp, I'm a counsellor for the next two weeks." I state and they groaned. They all stood up and hugged me.

"Guys, it's not like I'm moving, why are you all hugging me?" I asked laughing.

"Because we'll miss you you nerd." They stated and I laughed. I waved goodbye and walked to my car. I drove home to see Rachel was home. I smirked and parked my car. I got out and saw her freaking out. Dad was trying to calm her down and Jill snuck out the house behind me. I waved goodbye to mom and she waved bye. I helped Jill pack her stuff in my car and drove down the street I stopped infront of Jacks house and walked up the steps to ask his mom something.

"Hey Mrs. Katherine?" I asked as I opened the door.

"Yes sweetie?" She calls from the kitchen.

"I just want you to know that mom moved back into the house and Rachel is freaking out, so if you hear yelling and screaming, thats why." I stated and she nodded.

"Have a fun time at camp." She smiled and I smiled back. I thanked her and got back in the car. I drove down the street and started a five hour drive to camp.

**

"We're here." I smiled and shook Jill awake. She smiled and I pulled into the counselor parking lot. I helped carry her stuff up, and we got there an hour before everyone else, because counselors. Jill put her stuff in a corner in the mess hall and I helped set out all the release forms.

"Hey Court, you still look gorgeous like always." Matty states. I turn and laugh.

"Thanks Matty, what group are you this year?" I ask and look at the clipboard I have in my hand.

"I think I'm orange." He states and looks at his clipboard. I laughed and pointed to the top of the board where it tells you your color.

"Oh, I'm green." He laughs.

"Me too." I smile and we high five. Matty was one of my best friends, but Nate and him don't get along so that's why he doesn't come and hang out with us. I was handed a lanyard by our head counselor, and it had my picture and name along with color. It was sealed in a waterproof plastic covering that you can still see from, and I hung it around my neck.

"Alright, Counselors. We have thirty minutes until parents and kids start sworming us.... So go to your cabins and change into your colors and meet back here in twenty." They announced.

"Ma'am yes ma'am." We called back and all seperated. I walked down the concrete side walk and join the main cabin. This was the green section. We had half the building for girls and half for boys. I walked to the girl section and put my bags down. I looked around the cabin and smiled. I pulled my shirt off and changed into a camp shirt. I pulled on some khaki shorts and rolled my sleeves up so it was a tank top.

"Need some help tying that up?" A girl asks walking in.

"Yes actually. Hi, I'm Courtney." I smiled at her. She smiled and brought over two white ribbons.

"I'm Marty." She smiled and pulled my right side of my shirt into a bow.

"Is this your first year at camp?" I asked and she nodded.

"Yep, I just moved from Florida." She explained.

"Oh that must be fun. I've only lived in Omaha." I shrug and she gasps.

"I just moved to Omaha, I'm going to Westside this year for highschool." She cheers, tying off my left shoulder. I smile brightly and she smiles, flashing perfectly straight and white teeth.

"Well, I think we're going to be great friends." I smiled and there was a knock on the door.

"Court hurry up!" Matty groaned.

"That's Matty, he lives in Omaha aswell. He's one of my best friends." I add.

"Thats cool. I'm not the most open person, so I think making friends will be a bit hard for me." She says, her freckles glowing in the sun as we stepped outside.

"Oh you're gonna do just fine. All my friends are guys." I shrug and she smiles. She had her brown hair braided in two pigtails. We had no cell service or wifi here, so I locked Jill and I's phones in the car. I picked up my clipboard and fixed my lanyard and looked towards the front gate.

"Why is no one here?" Marty asks as we all join in chairs, at the tables we had set up.

"Just wait." Matty smirks.

"3...."

"2...."

"1..." A girl from camp named Selena and I say at the same time, she was in our cabin too. As we say 1, there was a crowd of atleast one hundred cars filling up the parking lot. Marty gulped and we smiled. After the cars parked, kids dragging there cases with annoyed parents and nervous parents followed. We were swarmed with at least twice as much people than cars.

**

"Officially welcome to camp everyone!" We, the counselors, cheered. The crowd of atleast two hundred kids yelled in response.

"Alrighty.... How has your summer's been so far?" Matty asks the crowd. A variety of answers erupt and Matty gasps.

"Boring?! Well, we're going to fix that." He states and we laugh. Our head counselor steps out and everyone silences.

"Would you guys like to meet your counselors?" She smiles and so do we.

"YEAH!!!" Everyone screams and she points to one of us.

"I'm Matty, born and raised in Omaha and I've been coming to this camp since I was 12." He states and waves to everyone.

"I'm Courtney, I was also born and raised in Omaha. I've been coming here since I was 6. My favorite food is icecream, and I don't care what type." I state and the crowd laughs. We continue to go down the line and we spread out and head to the front of our groups. The red group is the biggest. Good thing I'm Green.

"Now you're probably all wondering who does who's what in the counselors." Selena states.

"The funniest counselor is a tie between Matty and Courtney. The sweetest counselor would have to be Jena. The toughest counselor is Jake. Marty's new, but she's the most bashful. The laziest counselor.... Matty...." She explains and he laughs. She goes through everyone else and a kid raises their hand.

"Who's the most fun?" He asks and everyone turns towards me, besides Marty, she's confused.

"Hands down would go to Courtney." They laugh. I smile and hear people groan from other groups.

"Now everyone meet up in the mess hall and then you're off to your cabins for a good night's rest." Selena explains and they file into the mess hall. This is going to be fun.
