August 22nd, 2018I welcomed the day with an early morning start.
Selisa and I got some incense after class the other day, so I was burning one to cleanse my little alter and myself. My window was open, and it brought in a slight breeze. It wasn't too warm, which was surprising because it was a lot hotter here than back at home.
I brushed my teeth and washed up, the usual routine. I decided to do an entry for my art journal before making breakfast.
Today's theme was "cloudy days", a drawing and written words. So this is what I came up with:
I used prisms color pencils for the cloud background, and glued a cutting of an airplane wing from a magazine. Put painters tape underneath, and glued on some poetry quotes from my folder of cuttings."That's it! I'm finished!" I sighed and stood up from my art desk.
Stretching my legs and arms, my joints popping like I'm a human glow stick.I settled on making some scrambled eggs, with fried potato slices.
As soon as the oil started sizzling and popping, I could hear Kenai wake up and close the bathroom door. When I finished flipping the tortillas over the stove, and putting them in the little basket to keep them warm, my dad and Kenai sat down to eat with me.
It was overall pretty quiet, excluding the noise coming from the TV when my dad put on the news.
After we ate, Kenai washed the dishes and I hugged my dad goodbye while he was off to work. Then, I went to get dressed for my prerequisite classes for today. I had math and Spanish today so it was going to be a short day for me, with only two hours in between.
I picked out my white crop top, flannel, my favorite black dickies, and one of my Nike sneakers. Sprayed some perfume on my neck and wrists, since I already did my makeup.
Grabbing my backpack, stuffing my chargers in my bag, and on my way out the door with my deck.
I decided on listening to something mellow (video above) as I put my ear pods in, I could see Kenai introducing himself to a group of 4 kids up ahead of me.
'I'm so happy the move wasn't hard on Kenai'
I thought. He was making friends and he likes his classes, he's always been smart so hopefully it's easier for him to get scholarships living out here.
My thoughts caught off as I sat on the wooden bench, waiting for the bus. I was looking down at my phone searching for a different song, when I heard a car approaching.
I looked up to see the same man, in the famous red car. This time, with one of the kids that was with Kenai earlier.
'Damn, that man is fiiiiiinnnne...'
As he came to a stop before turning the corner, he nodded towards me and I gave a wave back with a small smile.
About eight minutes later the bus arrived, I tapped my card on the box, and sat near the front of the bus.
I placed my bag on my lap and began texting Selisa.
Me: Okay so... you know how I said I wasn't into anyone on campus?
Well I'm not, but 😏Selisa: Bitch fucking spill!!! You got a picture of him?
Me: It's this guy in my neighborhood, and sadly no I don't have a picture for you :( but he's got tattoos 🥵
Selisa: You gonna make a move?!!?
👁👄👁Me: Tbh probably not 😢 Like I said, it's just too early for me rn... and I don't even know his name or anything about him.
Selisa: Makes sense, but hey I'll meet up with you during your break for like an hour cuz I have chemistry.
Me: Ok sounds good Sel 😌 see ya then!
