Venus is our desire for love and romance and what we find attractive and what we do to make ourselves attractive to others. Knowing this it shouldn't be surprising that wherever your Venus is placed it shows what you find to be beautiful. A good example is art being ruled by Venus and art is objectively beautiful because what is beautiful to one isn't to another. With attraction comes relationships and our desire to form bonds, so Venus represents all intimate (one on one) relationships.
Venus is not only desire but it is what brings us joy. Whether that be leisure activities or what brings us worth or value (the things you desire to spend on). Venus is also what brings peace because this planet desires balance and harmony and tries its best to stray away from conflict. Although there is a darker side to the planet which is vanity and vengefulness when we feel slighted.
