12. sunrise with the boys

Alex

We end the stream and all high five. I gave Clay a hug, "You did it." I say. He smiles proudly.
"I did do it." We all go back into the living room and watch a horror movie. Every little thing in the movie scared me. I hide behind the panda Nick had given me. He puts his arm around me and I move in close by him.
"Oh no is miss little 'I love ghosts' is terrified of a ghost." Clay joked. I scoff throwing a pillow at him. He lets out a wheeze and we go back to watching the movie. 'Everything is so perfect right now.' I think smiling. The movie starts to calm down and there are hardly any jump scares. For a second the screen was still and a jump scare filled the entire screen. I screamed as George did too. Nick and Clay laugh at us.
"You two are children! Alex you're the one who likes all things scary! George you're just a scardy cat!" Nick says jokingly. I sigh and roll my eyes. George just laughs. After a few more jumpscares I have decided it was enough and go to the kitchen. I grab a glass of water and sit. I scrolled through tiktok for a couple minutes before my phone was taken from my hand. "Hey!" I say looking over to the spot next to me. Nick smirked and opened twitter.

"Why would you tweet that?" I ask, he shrugs.
"Can we talk about what happened earlier?" He asks. I blush thinking about what had happened.

"Nick..." I say, "I... " I can't find the right words. I just stood there. I pulled his face down to mine and crashed my lips on his. He doesn't pull away, he moves in closer. I pull away and look at him. "I kinda like you..." I say with my face heating up. He smiles at me.
"I kinda like you too..."

The moment plays over and over again. "It's midnight..." I say looking at the clock. "My birthday is over." I sigh, "Thanks for such an amazing day." I say walking away, completely avoiding his question. I grab my panda from the couch and head to Nick's room to lay down. I sigh placing the panda down on the bed and I flop next to it.
"You idiot Alex." I say to myself. Suddenly someone flops next to me. Already knowing who it was I just put my hands over my face. "I'm sorry." I say. Nick laughs.
"You didn't do anything wrong Al." He says sitting up throwing my panda lightly at me. It falls on the floor and I don't bother to pick it up. "It's late, we need to get some sleep. Clay and George are passed out in the living room." He says pulling one of my hands off my face and holding it. His face goes red. I shake my head. "Wanna watch some movies or youtube? I can tell you can't sleep." He lets go of my hand and grabs his laptop off his desk. He opens it and pulls up Netflix. I sit up and he sits back down next to me. He puts on a random movie and we silently watch. I didn't pay attention, I was just there. Soon after my eyelids started to feel heavy. I fell asleep with my head resting on Nick's shoulder.

Sapnap

She had fallen asleep. I closed the laptop and moved Alex, her arm was around my
waist. 'It's supposed to be the other way around' I think smiling. She has taken over my brain. We're both laying down now. I scroll through my phone for a few minutes before deciding to try and sleep. I look down at her, she's lightly snoring. I snake my arm around her and pull her in, giving her a kiss on the forehead before falling asleep.

"Wake up!!" Alex whispers yells at me. I look over at the clock. It's 6:00.
"Alex.. we went to sleep late, can we sleep in?" I ask quietly.
"No! Follow me!" She says grabbing my hand and pulling me out of my warm bed. "I know it's too early for human life but I wanna watch the sun rise." She whispers as we pass by the 2 older men knocked out in the living room. "We will get a picture after." She quietly laughs. I like this Alex, the one where she's excited about something. Even if it's something small I enjoy seeing her like this. We finally get outside and sit on my table out there. We have a perfect view of the sunrise. Only a few trees in the clearing but other than that it's a clear view. I put my arm around her shoulders and she turns her head to smile at me. I can barely focus on what's happening with us. The sun starts to rise, slowly but it's there.
"How often do you do this?" I ask her. She shrugs, "About one or twice a week." I give
her a side hug and laugh.
"You are literally the most adorable person ever." I say, she hesitates for a second
before she says anything. She just giggles and shakes her head, she lays her head on my shoulder and we watch the sun once again. About 10 minutes later George decides to join our little party.
"This is perfect." Alex says, she looks at me. Her eyes have this sparkle in them. I never noticed her eyes are grey, Clay sits down next to Alex and pats her head.
"Good morning to everyone." He says laughing. "Why are we out here?" He asks, the sun is up at his point we were all just enjoying it. George yawns, "Watching the sunrise." George says, we all just glance at each other deciding we should go back inside. I start to make everyone breakfast, pancakes since they are my favorite. When I walked into the living room to tell everyone it's done, George and Alex were asleep. I laugh and tell Clay. We sat in the kitchen eating the food in comfortable silence. After a while the other two finally woke up.
"Have a nice nap?" Clay joked, they both rolled their eyes and grabbed some food.
"I think we can take a chill day today since we had a pretty big day yesterday." I say and they all agreed.
