The last thing I remember is drinking some water in the kitchen. I woke up in Nicks bed unaware of what happened and how I got here. I lay my feet out on the cold floor. I find my way into the kitchen passing a sleepy sapnap. Sleepynap if you will. I make some coffee and sit at the table. Time progresses and all I do is scroll through tiktok. Nick walks into the kitchen not too
long after I switched to scroll through Twitter.
“Good morning sleepy head.” I laugh, he runs a hand through his hair, grabbing a cup of coffee.
“You wanna talk about what happened last night?” He asks. I look away for a moment. I try to remember the events of last night.
“I uh… don't remember what happened, could you actually explain what happened
please?” I ask. He hesitates before saying anything, he looks nervous.
“Well uh, I know Al. I know about your dad. I assume you were crying over that, but I was done playing with Clay and you were here.” He pointed at the ground by the pantry. “I didn't know what to do so I just held you. You fell asleep and I brought you to my room and let you sleep. I know you needed it so I just left you to it.” He says, giving me a sad smile. I sit for a moment. Not knowing how to respond.
“You know…? Did I tell you?” I ask, hoping he says yes.
“No.. my mom told me. She said it was something serious and I should know about it.” He explains, “Today is your last day in Texas! Let's do something fun! We can try to keep your mind off what happened.” He says, I shake my head. It could be fun.
“Where are we off too?” I ask, he shrugs his shoulders. “Something that will blow my mind away.” I say trying to lighten the mood.
“Uh.. theres a lot we could do.” He thinks for a moment. “Uhh theres a boardwalk… We could go. Theres rides and shops.” He says. I'm not one for crowded places, but it does sound fun. I agree and stand up. I put on a long sleeve and a red plaid skirt.
“Just saying. I'm glad you know.” I smile. He grabs my hand and we start a walk to the boardwalk. He squeezes my hand 3 times, look over at him in confusion.
The night comes to an end as we’re holding hands walking down the boardwalk. Rides on the sides showing off a pretty view of the beach. Stores on each side. Cotton candy in my other hand as we keep making jokes about the smallest things.
“I hope this was a good end to your trip here. I know you don't like crowded places but it's not that crowded now so…” Nick says dragging me along to the beach making me drop my cotton candy.
“You dickwad I dropped my cotton candy.” I joke. He laughs as we come to a stop at
stairs. “Why did you bring me here? More importantly I want more cotton candy.” I say he just looks at me.
“Well I wanted to give you something and this seems like the perfect place.” He says
pulling out a small box.
“You can't propose to me after you made me drop my cotton candy.” I say with a
nervous feeling in my stomach. He laughs at my joke.
“No it's not me proposing to you… I got you this necklace when you and my mom where in the kitchen for a couple hours.” He grabs a silver chain out of the box,
“It's a ghost!” He laughs. I take a small gasp and look at it. It is like my logo on my Twitch. I hug Nick instead of saying anything.
“Thank you. It makes up for my cotton candy.” I joke pulling myself out of the hug and putting the ghost on. We laugh and go back to the boardwalk.
“End the night on the ferris wheel like any other cliche rom-com?” I ask, he shakes his head and we go to get in line. Families
mixed with couples in front of us. I grab my phone out to take a picture. The night sky seems dull compared to the lights illuminating off the ferris wheel.

After Alex jokingly blocked George on twitter the line was almost gone and her and Nick were to be let on the ride next.
“Are you going to try and cliche and have us stop at the top to kiss?” I joked. Putting my phone away.
“Maybe, I guess you will have to see.” He says as we handed the worker our tickets and got on the wheel. “I’m very glad you came down to visit me Al, it was an experience to say the least.” Nick says as the ride starts up.
“Now he's confessing his love, boy I'm waiting for the hot air balloon that's going to have ‘will you marry me on it’' I joke, he smiles over at me. I flash him a smile back as the ride slowly comes to a stop at the top of the ferris wheel.
“Oh my god” I scoff. We both laugh for a second before giving each other a kiss. “I still want more cotton candy nimrod,” I say, pulling out of the kiss.
“Fine I will get you more cotton candy once we get off.”
