What Kurama saw next made him stop in his tracks...
And then he cried.
In a large circle were the other eight Bijuū. Shukaku, Matatabi, Isobu, Son Gokū, Kokuō, Saiken, Chōmei, and Gyūki were all sitting around a small, bright-orange bundle.
There was a kid in an oversized t-shirt. He had electrifying blue eyes and blonde hair. He was sitting in the middle of the group, with his legs bent and placed underneath his chin and his arms around his legs.
Kurama recognized this child as Naruto. He galloped to Naruto, relieved to have found him. Naruto looked as a shadow loomed over him, and tilted his head to get a better look.
'Oh! Hi, Kurwama! I knew you would come soon,' Naruto exclaimed.
Kurama didn't even respond. He nuzzled his nose against Naruto's face and laid beside him, almost like an overprotective, obedient dog.
'Oh, thank Kami,' said Kurama. 'I thought I lost you.'
'Sorry to interrupt this beautiful moment, but-' says Matatabi, who is then interrupted.
'Big brother! I know your ass is not ignoring me. And who is your friend over here? He looks like he'll taste delicious,' one of Kurama's brothers, Shukaku, yells.
Kurama jumps, circling Naruto in a protective stance.
'Back off. This is my kit,' Kurama warns, snaring his teeth at Shukaku.
The rest of the Bijuu stare at Kurama in amazement. They have never seen Kurama in such a state. His attitude would usually described as nonchalant, sassy, calm, and sometimes even asshole-ish and bitchy. They have never seen him care about anything, especially humans.
'Jeez, okay I won't kill him,' says Shukaku, breaking the awkward silence.
Kurama calmed down a little, but he was still on guard.
'Why are you here,' Kurama asks.
'We are not certain, as I was going to ask you that question, before being interrupted by our dear brother Shukaku,' responds Kokuō.
'Dear brother my ass,' responds Kurama under his breath.
Before Shukaku could respond Chōmei looks at Kurama.
'What is this place, Kura-chan, or did you just appear, too,' Chōmei asks.
