Luke and I were laying on the couch in the cave.
He was laying on top of me. His head was on my chest. He had his eyes closed, but he wasnt sleeping. He had his arms wrapped around me, and I was playing with his hair.
They were playing the orpheum tomorrow. We didnt know what was gonna happen after that. Hes told me he loves me more times than I could possibly count.
I dont know what I'm gonna do with out him.
One more person to look forward to seeing when you finally cross over to wherever.
I think. I'm really just trying not to cry. I cant help but think if everything that could possibly wrong.
I wish we could just stay here. In our little cave, in each others arms.
Tears are fighting their way to the surface. I take a deep breath, but that doesnt do anything. It just makes him look up at me.
I blink trying to make the tears go away but they wont. They stream down my cheeks.
"Hey, what's wrong princess?" Luke says sitting up. He pulls me into him. I hide my face in the space between his neck and his shoulder.
"I dont wanna lose you." I say quietly.
"You wont." He says.
"I will. I'm never gonna see you again, because I'm never gonna cross over."
"You will one day, I promise."
I rub the tears off my face looking at him.
"But what if I dont." I say.
"What was that quote from that book you liked?"
"Which one?" I say.
"The umm... The last Namasara."
"May death do his worst,
Cold to freeze the love in my heart,
Fire to burn my memories to ash,
Wind to force me through the gates,
Time to wear my loyalty away-"
"I will wait for you at death's gate." He says. Looking me in the eyes, making sure I know he means every sing word.
"I'm just really gonna miss you." I say.
"And I'll miss you, but you have to keep tour head up. Okay?"
I nod.
He kisses me on the lips and then gives me a quick peck on the forehead.
"I love you."
"I love you too."
He kisses me again.
He kisses me like theres no tomorrow, because for us, there might not be.
