Mr. Vipin Pal, was a man in his early 50's.He had the kind of face that stopped women in their tracks. He was slim, muscular, a few inches taller than me. His eyes were a mesmerizing, deep ocean blue, skin perfectly tanned.

When dressed in a bright tailcoat, red with gold trim and the shiny black top hat, he looked no less than a "Greek God".

He was not just good looking but he also owned a heart so pristine. He entered my life as a guardian angel. I have had the best moments of my life with him. We had no blood relations yet our bond was strong.

One fine day, he narrated his miserable story which changed his life completely. "Son my life had not been easy, just like yours. I have faced great challenges in my life, and i know there's more to come. But in order to survive, i have mastered the art of persistence", said Mr. Vipin.

Out of curiosity I said, "Sir, I would like to hear your story, please share it with me. "He replied-"Ok, but on a condition, you too have to share your story then."

I said-"Sure sir."

"I have led a miserable life. Suicidal attacks hampered my peace of mind. But i decided not to quit life like a coward. Eight years back, I had a happy family, a beautiful wife and a lovely son.

We were perfect together. But when misfortune struck, it stole my precious gems. I still remember that ghastly incident, it was my Ansh's 13th birthday. After finishing my work, I rushed to the best hotel in the town in order to plan something special for him. I called my wife Shelja and asked her to drive quickly to "Four Seasons Hotel, Mumbai. I was so excited, but then my life took an ugly turn. I received a call from my neighbor who reported their tragic demise. I lost my family in a car accident. They left me alone with the curse of memories. I guess I won't be able to speak further", and he went downstairs.

He wept alone in his dark room looking at their picture frame. Flashbacks of that traumatic event had left permanent scars in his life.
