Brownies

It was around 3pm and Henry and I just got home from work, it was a stressful day at the pizzeria. Spring Bonnie's arm fell off, Fred Bear dropped his mic and multiple spills of juice. When we got home I opened the front door and yelled "we're home!" Shortly after Elizabeth, Chris and Charlie all came running over and hugged our legs.
"Hi daddy!" Charlie said
"Hi Charlie" Henry said picking her up. He was strong, Charlie weighed almost 50 pounds. But Henry could lift animatronics that weighed almost 250 minimum.
"Daddy can you make brownies?" Chris asked
"Sure, why not. I haven't baked in a while. Why not you three help?"
"Yeah!" They chimed.
The three of them ran into the kitchen and started grabbing the light ingredients and pans. Henry and I took our shoes and jackets off, I gave him a quick kiss on the cheek as we walked into the kitchen to join the kids. Henry and I got out the heavier ingredients like the flour containers and sugar container. We let the kids mix the batter and pour it into the pans while we put it in the oven. I set a timer and told the kids to go play. Henry and I sat down on the couch and watched some TV. Michael came downstairs and asked "can I invite my girlfriend over?"
"Sure, your girlfriend is Vanessa right?"
"Yeah." Michael said.

A little while later we heard a knock on the door and heard Michael jumping down the stairs to answer the door. "Michael! Careful the railing isn't that strong!" Henry said quite annoyed.
"Sorry Papa!"
"Hi Mike!" Vanessa said happily.
"Hi Vanny. It's nice to see you." Michael replied.
"Have fun you two"
"Dad! It's not like that!" Michael said embarrassed as all hell.

Soon I heard the timer beep. I stood up and walked over to the kitchen, turned off the timer and grabbed a oven mitt to take out the brownies. "Elizabeth! Chris! Charlie! Brownies are ready!"
I heard happy screeching and thumps coming from the stairs.
"Ooh! They smell yummy!" Charlie said excitedly
"They do!" Elizabeth agreed.
Henry cut the brownies into little squares and put one on each napkin the kids had, "careful it's hot. They just came out of the oven" he warned them. Elizabeth ignored the warning and bit right into it. She had a decent tolerance to heat for a 7 year old. When the kids were done they ran back upstairs to play board games with Michael and Vanessa. I stuck a brownie in my mouth as I was putting the rest in the fridge, I turn to see Henry waiting to hug me. I had eaten most of the brownie by the time he let go, unexpectedly he jumped up and wrapped his legs around my waist and his arms around my neck. I caught him thankfully, but to my surprise he took a bite of the piece of brownie I had in my mouth. He bit off most of it, kinda sad for me. I finished my piece while he finished the piece he took from me. Henry smiled at me with this just so very adorable smile. He was just so cute, I mean who could resist that adorable smile he had? For sure not me. I set Henry down and hugged him, I looked down at him while he looked up at me. I bent down a bit and kissed him, his lips were soft. We weren't paying attention but soon I heard Vanessa.
"Bye Michael!" She looked to see us standing there kissing.
"My, my Mr. Afton. What have we got here?"
I shot my head up and looked over to where she was standing, Henry doing the same.
"H-heh, hi Vanessa..."
"God Mr. Afton you should see your face! It's bright red!" She teased as she walked towards the front door. Henry was so embarrassed he shoved his face into my chest squeezing me as tight as he could.
"Hen it's okay."
"If you say so.." he said looking back up at me.
I bent down and kissed him again quickly.
"William! S-stop it!"
