First Person POV - IVORY

"Hello?" I said as I picked up my phone. I had just woken up after a long night of studying the Manson case. College is much harder then I had ever thought, thank god it's almost over.

"Hi, is this Ivory Phillips?" A man's dark voice said on the other line, it was groggy and uneasy.

"Yes, this-this is she," I say. Not going to lie, I do think my voice quivered.

"Hello, I'm the chief of the behavioral analysis unit." He replied.

I gasped, smiled, then put the phone back to my face, "Is this about my credentials?"

"Yes. We would like to know if you are interested in an internship, and if it goes well, you could start working here next December." He says.

"Oh, yes! I would love that!" I shriek and feel immediate embarrassment. "Um, I mean, yes, that would be great."

"Great, you start tomorrow, December 1st. Please come in at 8:00 am. Sharp. Ask for me, Aaron Hotchner." He says and then ends the call. I stare blankly at my wall.

I drop my phone on my bed and run to my best friend's dorm.

"Holy shit, holy shit, holy shit!" I knock rapidly on Rosetta's door.

She comes out, with only a blanket around her body, and I see a man's figure in her bed.

"Another one?" I question and push my way through the door and tap the man's shoulder. "Hey, bud it's time for you to go."

he twists and turns and then opens his eyes smiling thinking it was Rose. He then looks up at me surprised, pulls up his boxers, and rushes out the door.

"What the hell, Ivory?" She says and wipes her smudged mascara.

"GUESS WHAT!" I say and shake her shoulders.

"What?!" She growled clearly annoyed, but of course, I ignore her.

"I GOT INTO THE BEHAVIORAL ANALYSIS UNIT!" I exclaimed a large smile on my face.

"WHAT?" She grabs my hand and we jump up and down as she holds her white sheet to her chest.

"I start my internship tomorrow!" I  happily tell her.

"This is great news!" She pulls me into a warm embrace her red hair getting in my face.

"We should go out tonight!" She says and closes her dorm door and puts some clothes on. She looks up at me with her pleading puppy dog eyes.

"You went out last night..." I say and glance over at her roommate, clearly with earplugs for a reason. Her roommate gives me a little smile and I can tell that she didn't get much sleep.

"So? Another boy toy doesn't sound so bad." She smiled and puts some blush on the apples of her cheeks.

"No! I need to be awake for my new internship anyway or I'll somehow be fired." I laugh and hit her back.

"Ugh, fine, but let's go get some food!" She finally finishes her makeup and puts some lipgloss on.

"I will go get dressed then." I stand and go and head to my dorm.

I open my closet and grab a pink blouse and put some jeans on. I look around the room and see my torn converse laying by my desk. I put them on and hurry out the door carrying my purse.

Rose is at my door waiting for me. "Ready?" She says and links my arm.

"No. I came out my door dressed to go out just to go back in my room." I smirk and she rolls her eyes at my sarcasm. We hop down to her car and get in. I put my seatbelt on and turn on our favorite song, 'Summertime Sadness'.  Rose and I start to sing the lyrics to one another even though we're basically tone-deaf.
