Cho waited patiently for the tea to brew. Sakuna usually would come by at this time and spend time with her. She could hear him calling her name from outside her home. Cho rushed out to him.
"Sakuna, you're back! I've missed you."
"Of course you did Cho. But-" He looked down to see her tearing up. She wiped away the tears in the corner of her eyes.
"Sorry, it's just that you called me by my first name. That means were truly friends now."
"You're too emotional." He tapped her head with one of his hands lightly. Cho gave a warm smile and sniffed softly. Then she scrunched her nose at the stench she assumed was coming from Sakuna.
"What's that stench. Blood?" Sakuna flinched since he realized she didn't know about his reputation. Cho was the only person who didn't fear him and showed him unconditional kindness. He feared how'd she react at discovering his true nature.
"I-"
"Did you run into trouble on the way here? Are you hurt anywhere?"
'Only her.' He thought. 'She would never even begin to assume I could do such a thing.'
"Come, let's get you cleaned up inside." She carefully pulled him into her home. Kanno lead him to the bathroom and gestured toward the bath.
"Get yourself cleaned up. I'll fix you something to eat and I already made the tea. Is there anything you'd prefer? Do you need anything?"
"Stop worrying so much. I'm fine." Kanno still reached out her hands and he guided them to his body. She felt along his arms and torso for anything out of the ordinary. His details were practically engraved in her memory. They had known one another for almost a month and every time he came to visit Sakuna somehow found himself in trouble. She established that he didn't have any injuries. Kanno had always wondered how he ended up in this state but, she never pried since it seemed to make him uncomfortable or defensive.
"Ok. I'll be in the kitchen if you need anything." She went to pull her hands away but he held them on his face. Kanno didn't question him but just stood calmly in place. Sakuna just took in everything about her, committing it to memory. From her smooth skin, black silky hair, and the perfectly placed beauty mark under her eye. She was a beautiful woman and to him no other could even begin to compare.
"I should get cleaned up."
"I'll let you be."
Though they said they would be departing, the two didn't pull away from one another for a few more minutes. Until, Cho gave a smile as she gradually pulled her hands away. She went to prepare their meals and tea in the main room.

There was an uncomfortable silence between them. Cho poured the tea into the cup he guided her to and she had already placed the meals. When she sat down she gave a soft sigh.
"Is it a burden for you to come her so often?" Her voice sounded regretful and she chuckled lightly. "You always appear to be injured or hurt when you arrive. I don't want you to force yourself and I've been alone for a while-" Cho started to ramble nervously as she kept a smile on her face. Sakuna was silent and listened to her words.
"Kanno. I'm not a charity who helps sad cases. Don't waste my time." He stood and took the plate over to be washed. Cho sat dumbfounded as he whisked past her.
'The thought never even crossed his mind.' She thought.
Then a smile crept on her face as he went past her. Cho stood up and took her plate over. She placed it down on the counter and raised her arm to feel for where Sukuna stood. When she placed her hand on his chest she then went and engulfed him in an embrace. Sukuna just looked down at her and was about to push her away.
"You really are amazing." Her words were muffled but he could hear fairly clear. He still just looked but a grin came on his face. Whenever she complimented him it seemed so sincere and definitely inflated his pride. "Can you hug me with all your arms, please?"
"You and your fascinations." He obliged and embraced her. "You really have no idea how horrific I actually look. You'd be scared out of your mind." He teased. She laughed.
"Then I guess we were fated to meet then." Sukuna peered down at her beaming face and the feeling crashed into him in that moment.
He had fell in love with this oblivious girl. And he was happy.
