Khushi, Khushi??.....

I chuckled, listening to the faint snoring voice from the other side. Sometimes she is really a baby!! Yes, my baby, adorable, caring, naughty, enchanting... baby who is soon going to share this room with me, filling it with her existence and cuddling with me. I'm glad as she is slowly growing closer to me and started to share every little thing with me. I still can't believe the boy who used to think that love as a simple infatuation or as a mere lust has now totally become a lovesick person. Musing about her in my arms, I slowly drifted to slumber.

"Good morning, Bhai, get up now." I was shocked seeing Shonu early morning in my room because she was never an early riser and loves her sleep time so much.

"You woke up early morning??? At this time???" I asked her with bewilderment and also with a bit of sarcasm.

"As today is your engagement, I woke up this early, or else I would never awake at this time. You know you're so lucky," she said haughtily. I rolled my eyes, hearing her audacity.

"Accha, Mumma said to wake you up, and as my work has done, I'm going down," announcing she went away, not giving me any chance to speak.

Finishing my morning workout and routines, I hopped into a warm shower, which helped to calm my nerves. I changed quickly into my engagement clothes, which is a typical three-piece Indian attire. It's a simple black half-sleeves jacket paired with a black floral printed kurta, and the white pajama giving a perfect contrast to the kurta. Well- grooming my hair with a little sloppy look and spraying some perfume, I completed my appearance by wearing a black wristwatch.

Satisfied with my look, I hurriedly went down to avoid mom's scolding for getting late. Mumma and Papa were already ready, busily arranging some last-minute stuff.

"Haye, Mera Guddu, you're looking so handsome," Maa said, hugging me.

"Maa, at least now, stop calling me with that name. See I'm even getting married, please." I requested maa, whining.
