CHAPTER 4: TIME LAPSE

Mod: How about we go see Aew today, he might regain his consciousness when he feels that there are his ugly friends. Want to go?

Bas: Sounds good.

Philip: Okay I'll get ready.

Tan: I'm here now. You guys should bring fruits.

Philip: Is Sun coming with you Tan?

Tan: No, she's with Teh's Mom.

Bas: How about Teh?

Philip: I bet he didn't check his phone again as usual.

Tan: He might be busy with things. I'll try approach him later.

Bas: Okay, see you guys.

Tan: You guys should hurry, I'm alone with Aew now.

5mins later

Tan: Aew regained his consciousness! But he doesn't seem to recognise me or remember his name.

Bas: you're not joking right?

Philip: Is that true? I'm at the hospital's parking lot now I got to hurry then!

Bas, Philip and Mod came. "Tan, is Teh not here yet?" "I'll try calling him again." The doctor came in to check Aew's status. "People may struggle and confused and unable to store memories for some time after the injury. Especially that he was asleep for 4years." The doctor left and we stared on Aew--- puzzled to how we should approach him after expressing our happiness seeing him waking up.

Teh's POV

I was walking through streets in our town when I passed through our old classroom for our extra Chinese class back then. I stopped walking for a bit and stand still.

Fresh and unforgettable, the last day in our extra class for Chinese. Bas fiercely said everything I couldn't tell Aew in front of our classmates. I'll admit that I'm supposed to bless Aew but I got afraid, so instead I worked my encouraging words to Philip. My phone suddenly ringed and it was Tan calling.

"Hello Tan? is there a problem with Sun?"

"Mị̀mī Teh, its Aew, he waked up, come now to the hospital! "

Tan and I with our friends keeps Aew on check from time to time since he was in the hospital unconscious for years now. But today a miracle happened and he woke up.

Time had lapsed as much as we do important things---but we must go on because its the golden rule for living. I feel sad for Aew that he got robbed by time because of me and Bas.

It's been 4 years since Aew got into accident. Luckily, there was a passerby who happened to regularly visit Promthep Cape that saved Aew's life. In that 4 years, we also finished college----- except for Aew who barely started his freshmen and Tan.

Tan has still a year to graduate since she had our first son together 3 years ago. We named him "Sun".
