AN: So instead of keeping said Peter said, Susan said etc. I might after the quotation just put the letter of the person who said it. E.g. "that's unfair" P (p for Peter).

We were all in the same room and the radio was going on about the bombing. Me and Peter were by the window when Susan turned the radio off and tilted her head towards Lucy.

"The sheets are scratchy." She mumbled.

"It's okay Lucy we'll be home soon enough." I said while I placed myself next to her.

"Wars don't last forever Lucy, we will be home soon." Susan added.

"Yeah if home's still there." Edmund said walking in.

"Edmund!" I snapped.

"Isn't time you were in bed?" Susan sighed.

"Yes, mum." Ed said sarcastically.

"Ed!" Me and Peters both yelled at the annoying boy.

"This place is huge Lucy, tomorrow we can go play and explore the house, I promise." I whispered while I patted her shoulder

We watched as the rain poured down the window. Lucy was staring outside, Edmund was messing with the chair, I was sat next to Susan as she and Peter played a game with a dictionary.

"Is it Latin for 'worst game every invented'?" Edmund asked which woke me from my daydream.

"We could play hide and seek, Hope promised we could explore the house." Lucy begged.

"But we're already having so much fun." Peter said smugly at Susan which made me laugh quietly at his response.

"Come on Peter please! Pretty please?" Lucy pleaded.

"One, two..." Susan began, I expected Peter to start counting so it took me by surprise.

"What?" Ed exclaimed.

We all went our different directions, I left all the siblings as I went the furthest as I could. I hid myself in a small and ugly wardrobe and closed the door shut. It was empty and I stayed quiet until the doors swung open, I thought it was Susan until the figure came inside with me and shut the door.

"Peter?" I said loudly. He covered my mouth and looked at me.

"Oh god! I didn't know you here Hope." He whispered, I removed his hand and laughed quietly.

"It's fine, stay here she'll finish counting soon." I said.

The closet was slim so I could his breath on me. I couldn't tell if it was an awkward or comfortable silence. I looked Peter in the eyes until the doors opened and Susan appeared.

"Didn't mean to disturb sorry." She mumbled.

"It wasn't like that! He took my hiding spot." I said in defence.

"But you didn't tell me to leave?" He said smirking at me.

"Because I didn't want you to get caught." I said back.

"So you care?" He asked.

"Why wouldn't I?" I was saved by Lucy shouting somewhere in the house.

"It's alright! I'm back, I'm alright!" She yelled.

We turned a corner and found Lucy and Edmund talking.

"You know, I'm not sure you two have quite got the idea of this game." Peter said as Ed sighed and walked out of his hiding spot.
