Taehyung put the girl down near the meadow, she instantly notched an arrow directing her bow right at him.
"Who are you?" She demanded, her feet planted firmly, hand steady on the bow. Taehyung crossed his arms.
"Is that anyway to talk to someone who just saved you?"
"You didn't save me. I was fine."
"Right... had you charged that fate like you intended, you'd be dead. "
Kira narrowed her eyes at the strange handsome man that she was convinced was a wizard. She wasn't buying his whole rescue scheme.
"She wouldn't know what hit her." She assured the man confidently. He smirked at how naive she was.
"She already knew what you were going to do."
Kira lowered her bow an inch. That's not possible. Is it?
"The fates see everything. Know everything."
"So she knew what you were going to do then." She asked him, her bow coming back up, the arrow aiming between his dark eyes.
"She can't see what I do."
"Is it because you're a wizard?" She asked curiously.
Taehyung laughed so hard. This human knew nothing of gods. He was sure that she believed the one who helped her was also a wizard.
"No, I'm not a wizard."
"You have powers. How?"
He eyed her bow carefully. This girl was very agile. Any man would have started to lower his bow from fatigue. She stood strong.
"I'm a god. Did your king not tell you?"
"What?"
"More specifically, I'm the god of Punishment."
She shifted her feet slightly, Taehyung not missing a beat vanished in thin air as the arrow came flying. He appeared behind her, unamused.
"gods don't exist. They are but stories created to explain how things are or why things happen."
Taehyung smiled. It is true, there are many stories about us. Some are forgotten in time, while others are passed down for generations.
"We do exist. Matter of fact, one saved you when you were younger." He shared. Kira thought about what he said. Her mind turning over the possibilities. Somehow wizards just made more since.
"Where is he now?" She questioned, turning to face the man. He was standing a foot or two away.
"Close..."
Kira scanned her surroundings. All she saw was a huge meadow filled with wildflowers and massive oak trees that lined the edges of it. Off in the distance she could see what looked like two girls frolicking amongst the flowers. One with white blonde hair and the other brown hair pulled up in pigtails.
