Nayeon was setting out the table while her two daughters were quietly playing together in the living room. Nayeon was happily married for 10 years to the love of her life, Jinyoung and they both had two beautiful daughters, Chaeyeon who was three years old and Chaeryeong who was two years old as well she found out recently that she was expecting another child.

"Eomma, where's appa?" Chaeyeon asked, waddling over to her mother and smiling brightly at her.

Nayeon stops setting the table and looks at her oldest daughter. "I don't know Chae, he'll be home soon I promise." she assured her.

The younger girl nodded and went back to the living room to play with her younger sister. Nayeon watched in delight to see both of her children quietly playing with each other, a smile plastered on her face.

She didn't hear the doorbell ring until there were small calls from her daughters to answer the door. She ran over and opened the door to see Jihyo there.

"Oh Jihyo, what a lovely surprise to see you." She greeted the younger girl, who smiled at her.

"It's lovely to see you again unnie." Jihyo said. "Uh actually unnie I was wondering if I could come inside and speak to you for a moment?" Nayeon nodded and extended the door open, allowing her to come in.

Jihyo came in and guided herself to the kitchen, greeting the kids as she walked past. "So what's the issue?" Nayeon asked, grabbing two glasses and pouring a tiny bit of wine into them.

Jihyo froze for a moment, her glass in her hand and her eyes focusing on the table. "It's Youngjae." She mutters.

"What? What's Youngjae done?" Nayeon questioned, slightly getting angry. She was overprotective about her friends and family and if someone hurt one of them then she would not be very happy.

"Nothing bad, I promise." She quickly reassured her. "I feel like we aren't going anywhere with our relationship, we had our baby son but we ain't engaged or married. I do want to get married to him but what if he doesn't want to marry me?"

"Jihyo-yah stop overthinking, maybe youngjae isn't ready to think about marriage yet." Replies Nayeon, grabbing hold of her hands and squeezing them gently. "Think about it this way, what if he likes how things are going or maybe he wants to marry you but he thinks you will say no? Jihyo why don't you make the first move."

"You're right unnie. Why didn't I think about that earlier? I'm going to ask him to marry me!" Jihyo squealed, standing up from her chair and making her way to the front door. "Thank you unnie and have a good night."

"You too Jihyo, I hope he says yes." And like that the younger girl ran out the door. Nayeon closed the door and called her two children to the kitchen to come and eat their dinner however she was mostly worried about her husband's whereabouts. He was supposed to be home an hour ago and now she's worried that he might not come home.

She started pouring food into their plates and a potion of food on her own plate when the door opened and slammed closed. There stood was her husband, Jinyoung who looked extremely tired and his shirt untucked and his tie was kind of undone.

He made his way to the kitchen and kissed both of his daughters' heads and smiled at Nayeon, who smiled back and poured the food onto his plate. "Appa, we missed you today." Chaeyeon stated.

"I missed you both." He said, smiling at the two little girls. Nayeon sat next to him and ate her food quietly, watching Jinyoung quietly play with his food.

The two younger girls finished their dinner and was dismissed from the table to play in the living room before they went to bed. "Are you okay?" She asked and he hums in response. "You don't look like it." He sighs and continues to play with his food.

She accepted his silence as the answer of her question and she knew that he wasn't well. She picked the dishes and began to wash them while Jinyoung cleaned the table.

"I'm going to take the girls to bed and I have something urgent to talk to you about." He mentioned and she nodded, continuing to wash the dishes and clean the surfaces.

He came down after 10 minutes, tired from trying to settle Chaeryeong to sleep. "It's hard to put them to sleep." He mumbles and Nayeon couldn't help but laugh at his comment.

"It's because they still want to sleep with us that's why." She replies back and he hums in response.

"Actually that's what I wanted to talk to you about." He told her as she stood there, confused about what he was talking about. "I wanted to talk about us." She felt a pain in her heart like she knew what he was going to say next.

He flung a piece of paper onto the table, divorce proceedings written on top in big, black ink. "I want a divorce Nayeon and I think it's for the best." He announced and walked out of the room and to their shared bedroom, leaving Nayeon in the kitchen, silently crying over the words that he spoke.

Her hands held tightly onto the table as she screamed loudly, tears streaming down her face. It was the end for them.
