Jinyoung stood there, his eyes refusing to meet Jaebeom's eyes and the words unable to escape from his mouth.
"Jinyoung please take a seat." Jaebeom pleaded and Jinyoung shook his head. He turned around, going to run for the door when Sana stopped him, her hand on his chest as he let out a big sigh.
"I have invited you round for dinner and you are already leaving. Please stay Jinyoung, I thought we were having a catch up." She pleaded and he nodded, going back into the kitchen and sitting down, facing Jaebeom.
Sana stood at the end of the table, sighing. "You boys talk to each other, I'm going to pay for the food and when I come back I want to see you both smiling and laughing like the old times." She told them, exiting the kitchen and walking down the hallway.
"It's been a long time since we've seen each other well talk actually." Jaebeom said, breaking the silence.
Jinyoung hums and responds. "Well I guess it is for the best." Jaebeom looked at him confused, where did his best friend gone? Where's that friend who would always make Jaebeom smile and laugh? Where's the one who made his younger sister's heart race?
"For the best? If you think that then I really don't know you then and I won't keep you waiting for too long, you may go." Jaebeom sighed, getting up from his seat and leaving the kitchen, his footsteps can be heard going upstairs.
Sana stood and watched the whole thing, she knew her husband's heart broke because he knew that he lost his best friend and he was upset that everything had suddenly changed for them.
She cleared her throat and Jinyoung quickly looked back, frightened. "Now I didn't invite you here to have a go but Jinyoung please hear me out." She told him.

"So how did it go?" Yugyeom was on the line to Jaebeom who was currently lying down on his bed, looking up at the ceiling.
"Terrible." He answered and Yugyeom's groan echoed through the phone. "It's like he doesn't even know me anymore. Why has he suddenly changed these last months?"
"I mean I know why. He has changed because of the divorce, he still loves her hyung." Yugyeom answered and Jaebeom hums.
"Why would he still love her when he divorced?" He asked, looking at his nails.
The door opened and Yeji ran in, smiling at her dad and Jaebeom looked over and smiled at her. "Well hyung—" Yugyeom was going to answer but Jaebeom cut him off.
"Sorry I need to go." Jaebeom ended the phone call and sat up, picking Yeji up and placing her in his lap. "Hey JiJi what's wrong?" He asked her.
"Appa, eomma wants you down stairs. She told me that dinner is ready." She told her father, looking at him.
Jaebeom sighs and replies. "Yeji can you tell eomma that appa isn't hungry and he'll come down when he is hungry?" Yeji nodded and ran off the bed and down the stairs to see her eomma while he laid down back on the bed.

Yeji walked back to the kitchen and ran to Sana. "Appa told me that he isn't hungry." She told her and walked to the living room after Sana nodded and told the younger girl to go and see her brother.
"I think you upset him, Jinyoung." She added and his eyes diverted to the floor after knowing that he hurt his friend—his best friend.
"Everything that has happened, it wouldn't be suitable for us to be friends." He admitted. "Not only is it going to be awkward but I don't think that we'll be on good terms either."
"What do you mean by not being good terms?" She questioned him while he pushed back a strand of hair away from his face.
"Well everything with Nayeon, the divorce and all of that I don't think he'll be too happy to have me as his friend since I broke his sister's heart." He admitted and she nodded with what he was saying.
Jaebeom came down the stairs and heard what Jinyoung said. He wouldn't think like that, yes he would have been mad but only for a short amount of time and he would want a relationship with Jinyoung still no matter what they went through.
He walked to the doorway of the kitchen and stood there, admiring his wife and his best friend having a conversation. She notices him there and signals him to come and take a seat next to her.
He did what his wife told him to and took a seat next to her but refused to meet eyes with Jinyoung. "You two sort this nonsense out and I'm going to put the kids to bed." She told them and disappeared upstairs.
"She has a point hyung." Jinyoung blurted out, looking towards Jaebeom who was still looking at the floor.
"Why has suddenly everything changed between us?" Jaebeom asked which shocked Jinyoung unexpectedly.
Jinyoung didn't speak for two minutes, he was trying to find the right answer for the question. "Everything has changed now, our friendship has changed. I don't think that we can be like what we were before." He answered.
"Yes I was mad at you but not any more, I miss my friend nyoung. I miss you, we can put everything that has happened beside us and forget that it ever happened." He reasoned with him as Jinyoung nods.
"Yeah I think that would be the best." Jinyoung got up and hugged Jaebeom tightly. "I missed you too." He whispered in his ear.
