Shuichi's POV:

I stared back at Miu with an annoyed expression and she just looked away, laughing to herself.
"Yo! Miu! Who's this!?," Kokichi said loudly, pointing to me with one eyebrow raised. Miu walked over to me and put a hand on my shoulder.
"This is Shuichi! You remember Shuichi, right!?," Miu said. Kokichi's eyes went wide.
"Oh my Atua," Kokichi said in a dumbfounded voice. Kinda glad he quieted down. His yelling was hurting my-
"Shuichi! I haven't seen you in forever! I didn't even recognize you!"...ears.
"Same here, Kokichi," I said, trying to get rid of the ringing in my ear. Kokichi started looking around the dorm.
"So Miu? This is your dorm? I was expecting something, y'know, more you," Kokichi said, fake disappointment in his voice. Always the lying type. I remember back in highschool when he used to lie his way out of everything. Tests, homework, you name it, he probably has a lie associated with it.
"This isn't my dorm, dumbass. It's Pooichi's here," she explained, pointing back to me.
"Well that makes WAY more sense! I would never imagine Miu in a million years owning a book about magic-" He held up the book with MAGIC AND STUFF printed in big letters on the front. "Wait! Shuichi would never own something like this either! Why is this here!" He came up close to me and held the book to my face.
"Well, ya see, I don't live here alone, so that's not mine, that's one of my roommate's. In fact, both of them should be home right about-" Just as I was about to finish explaining, Tenko and Himiko both walked in the room.
"Nyeh. Hey guy- KOKICHI!?" Himiko's eyes widened as she stared at the purple haired male. Tenko held onto Himiko.
"Why are you here!? We didn't invite you!," Tenko yelled at Kokichi, causing him to jump. "And why are you touching Himiko's magic book!? Put it down now!" Kokichi rolled his eyes and put it back down, backing up with his hands raised.
"Tenko. Calm down. Kokich hasn't done and isn't going to do anything...I think," Himiko said, reassuring the taller female. Tenko softened her expression.
"F-fine, but tell us why you're here Kokichi!," Tenko said, still loud, but it was more relaxed if you can imagine. Kokichi stepped closer to her while still keeping his distance.
"Jeez Tenko, still the same person you were back in highschool. Don't worry I didn't just barge in he-"
"Yes you di-"
"Shut up, Kiibo. Anyways, Miu invited me. I wanted to catch up on things and she sent me the location of the place, which just so happened to be your dorm. Just calm down," he said, more calm mannered than I thought he would be. I guess he has changed a bit since highschool.
Tenko took a deep breath in an out.
"Fine, but that better be it! Come on Himiko." Tenko moved out of the doorway and near the kitchen with Himiko, where they started making dinner for everyone. It was pretty good. Sadly Kiibo couldn't have any, being a robot and all.
Everyone talked again for a bit before leaving the dorm. Miu was the first to leave, saying she had an early appointment with someone to renovate their TV. Hopefully it doesn't turn out like the TV in my room. Kiibo left soon after, which wasn't too surprising since they were roommates with Miu and she usually locked up the dorm at around 10:00.
"Hey Kokichi?," I asked him from across the table.
"Yes Shuichi?," he said looking up from his phone.
"How long are you planning to stay here? It's getting pretty late."
"I actually live pretty far from here, so I was wondering if I could stay the night." I looked at the time and nodded.
"Sure. I wouldn't want you driving home in the dark, especially because of the things that have happened in this neighborhood."
"What do you mean by 'things'," Kokichi asked me, curiosity in his voice.
"Well, there's been this organization that has been showing up around here recently. The authorities are trying to find out as much they can about them, but the only conclusion that they've come to is that they call themselves 'Dice' or something like that." For a split second, I thought I saw a hint of worry in Kokichi's eyes.
"On second thought, I can't stay the night. I have some business to attend to. Sorry Shuichi." He got up from the table and made his way to the door of the dorm.
"Oh. Ok then. Just be careful and text me when you get back to... well wherever you live," Shuichi said in a caring nature.
"Yep" And with that Kokichi had rushed out the door. That was weird, but I decided not to dwell on it. I did my usual nighttime routine (OK! I KNOW I KEEP INTERUPPTING THE STORY BUT DOES ANYONE REMEMBER WATCHING THOSE AESTHETICALLY PLEASING MORNING ROUTINE VIDEOS AND BEING LIKE "That's how I'm gonna start my mornings everyday" VEYV CH B YVIW) and went to bed.
"BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP!"
