Third Person POV:
So off they went. It wasn't a long walk since Kaede's work was pretty close to Shuichi and Kokichi's.
Shuichi's POV:
As I walked into the Piano lesson building, a cold wave of air hit my skin, refreshing me from the summer heat. I looked over at Kokichi, sweat dripping down his face.
"Holy shit. It's fucking hot out," he said, wiping the sweat of his forehead with his hoodie sleeve.
"Well maybe if you didn't wear that hoodie all the time you wouldn't have to worry about being hot," I responded, giving him an annoyed look.
"Yeesh. No need to look at me like that. I'll take it off." As Kokichi took off his hoodie, I heard a familiar voice.
"Shuichi! Hi!," yelled Kaede. She wrapped me into a hug. After letting go, she finally saw Kokichi.
"Oh... hello Kokichi. Haven't seen you in forever," she said with a small smile on her face. I'm surprised she recognized him. Guess that's a skill some people have. "Last time I saw you, we were in highschool. What are you doing here with Shuichi?"
"I was bored so I wanted to hang out with the one and only Shuichi Saihara... so far it's boring." I punched his arm. "Ow! What the fuck was that for?"
"Everything," I said with a straight (hehe) face, making intense eye contact with him before turning my attention back to Kaede.
"Well... it's good to see you two. My 1:00 PM piano class should be coming in in about 20 minutes. I can't wait for you guys to hear them. They are so talented and amazing and AH! I JUST CAN'T WAIT!" Seeing Kaede so excited made me smile. Whenever she was happy, it usually meant I was as well.
"Shuichi!"
"AH!" Guess I spaced out. "S-sorry Kaede. What do you need?"
"I asked you and Kokichi if you two wanted to help set up everything for the class. Kokichi is in the storage room getting the piano seats since we usually put them away each night we close. Wanna go help him?" I nodded.
"Sure. Where is it exactly?"
"Through the door behind the counter, then take a right and you'll see it."
"Perfect. I'll go do that right now." As I walked through the door, I could hear Kokichi talking, but there was another voice as well. Kirumi Tojo's voice. (THE GOTH MAID MOM HAS ARRIVED AND IS BEING THE ICON SHE IS)
"Mooooooooooom?"
"What Kokichi?"
"Help me with the chaaaaaaaairs."
"It doesn't look like I need to. Look," Kirumi said as she pointed to me. Kirumi Tojo, someone I've also known for a very long time, ever since 7th grade, which is also around the time where her and Kaede decided to start the Piano club (KAEDE AND KIRUMI BEING BESTIES IS NOW MY FAVORITE THING). It wasn't anything big at first, but as Kaede started performing at school assemblies and other school events and Kirumi started speaking about the club with the student council she was apart of, more people started to join and it led to them getting a lot of recognition from colleges, one of them being Julliard, (I LITERALLY JUST SEARCHED UP BEST PIANO COLLEGES AND THIS CAME UP SO BCVHW HVH) Kaede's dream college ever since she was little. After graduation, they moved to New York to attend Julliard and graduated with straight A's. They then moved back to Japan and started teaching piano lessons. They are now known as two of the best piano teachers in this town.
"Hey Rumi," I said, patting her on the shoulder. She smiled.
"Hello Shuichi. You seem to be doing well. How's Tenko and Himiko?"
"They're good. Himiko's still working at the local aquarium and Tenko started teaching Aikido not too long ago."
"That's great to hear. Now could you help Kokichi, the lessons are starting in 10 minutes and I still need to get the music sheets ready for the students." I nodded. I wonder why Kirumi remembered Kokichi so easily. Must be an intuition she has.
"Sure Kirumi." She smiled and walked away towards the printing room to get the music sheets ready.
"Psst. Shuichi," Kokichi said in a whisper. What does he want now?
"What Kokichi?," I responded with the same volume.
"I have an idea for how we can get Rantaro to meet Kiibo again." Not this again.
"Kokichi. He already said he didn't wanna talk about it, so why force it on him?"
"Because it would be entertaining, duh." Bruh that's not a reason.
"I don't know. You would have to talk to Rantaro about that but I don't think he'd agree."
"I'll worry about it after work or something, but boy would it be funny for them to finally see each other after all these years." I wouldn't really say funny. More awkward than anything.
"Maybe we should get these chairs to Kaede before you start planning their wedding next," I said in a sarcastic tone.
"Now that you mention it, I should do that. Thanks for the idea Shuichi."
"It was a joke." I hope he knew that.
