as we all waited quietly for Melania to come back to the room I glanced at Charlie who was holding their breath and fiddling with their fingers.
"Charlie you need to breathe," I said and watched as they started breathing again while staring at their hands
10 minutes later
Melania walked back into the room and I watched as Charlie turned their head up and say quietly
"Be my mom," which made us all just kinda stare at them before they turned away and went
"I'm sorry nevermind I got distracted" which was them telling me to start a new conversation and not ask any questions.
"So, what do you all want to do for Christmas next week?" I asked
Charlie sat there for a bit before turning to me "My mom called me and asked me to come home for the holidays,"
"oh okay when will you come back," Barron asked completely oblivious to the fact that Charlie didn't really like their parents
"I'm not going," Charlie said while turning to Barron which caused him to nod in understanding
"Why did she wanna talk to you?" Ash said which left me confused but then I realized that Ash knew that Charlie's mom wouldn't just call for something like that
"Oh, well she wanted to know if I could drive yet," Charlie responded
"And?" Ash said Looking at Charlie
"She told me to stop being a baby," Charlie said while looking away meaning that they didn't want to talk about it.
"Okay, who wants to go shopping for Christmas presents Friday?" Y/n asked picking up that Charlie didn't wanna talk about their mom anymore.
"I would but it's too crowded I'll probably just order things or something" Charlie replied
"I'll go," Barron said
"Can anyone else drive because I think I'm going to stay home with Charlie and do my shopping at night?" I said
"Yes I will" Melania spoke up
we all continued to plan things until Charlie, Julian, and Noah fell asleep. Charlie was asleep on the floor, Julian asleep in the chair, and krabs asleep on one of the couches.
"Well... I guess we should move Charlie on to the couch and head to bed" Y/n said
Ash moved Charlie onto the couch and we all went to bed
Next morning
Ash Pov
I wake up to Charlie shaking me awake
"What happened," I said half asleep
Charlie then jumped around and yelled, "The vet called me and said Felix comes home today!" i smiled. Felix, the golden retriever mix german shepherd who Charlie rescued from his past abusive owners when they were 14 and has been with ever since that had recently had to go in to get surgery.
"That is amazing, did you wake up Kennedy to take you to get him?" I asked
They smiled and nodded "Yep I have to go now bye bye" They then ran away as fast as they could.
Y/n Pov
I woke up to Charlie running towards the door where Kennedy was standing with her keys laughing
"What's happening," I ask which makes Charlie stop to look at me
"Felix comes home today," They say smiling
I nodded and watched them walk out of the house then walked into the kitchen to wait for the others to wake up
