"stan, god, hey, can i sit next to you" richie basically clamoured into the room, running viciously up the stairs to find stanley in his seat. normally richie would've sat next to bill, who sat next to beverly, who then sat next to stanley. however, as it was, richie had a question to ask.

"uh, sure, why"

"i gotta talk to you" richie whispered, as if there was anyone to hear him in the giant room..

stanley snickered at him.

"what's up? "

richie laughed nervously, a laugh stanley had barely heard out of richie.

"eddie asked me out and i said no and i told him i had a boyfriend and i said it was you...! " richie spit it all out at once. stanley immediately cackled.

"what the fuck--" stan started.

bill walked up by them and richie slapped stan to get him to stop laughing.

"stan laughing a-at richie's juh-jokes that's rare," bill commented.

stanley was still snickering, and richie smacked his head onto his bag on his lap.

"yeah, yeah, it was funny this one time. that's it." stan calmed himself down, taking out his laptop.

bill sat down in his own seat, choosing to not comment on richie's change of seating.

beverly did not do the same.

"fuckhead! you stole my spot! " she pushed richie, not planning on doing any real harm. richie stuck his tongue out at her, and blew raspberries on thin air. beverly rolled her eyes and sat down beside bill.

"sorry, lovely lady,"

"i hate you, bae"

"god, will you ever stop saying bae? " stan asked in a lighthearted manner.

beverly had taken on new phases here and there, and currently her two were: saying bae constantly, and saying girl constantly. finally, she settled in next to bill and took her tote bag off of her arm.

"so, what are you trying to say with what you've told me? " stanley focused his attention from beverly to richie. his voice was quieter now, and richie hesitantly held a hand up to stan's ear.

"i'm asking if you'll fake date me just for a bit, i told eddie we'd be going public," richie whispered,

"yeah, sure" stanley said, normal volume. richie moved his head back a bit, shocked stanley said yes so easily.

"don't look at me like that, it doesn't matter, sure. you'll owe me one."

"okay... so we make rules after class? " richie asked, stanley nodding. it wasn't like the two of them didn't have a lot of time together, they were very much roommates in the same dorm, so it worked out.

"sure."
