After their herbology class, which Stephanie hated, Stephanie, Draco, Crabbe, and Goyle headed to the Great Hall for lunch. Stephanie tried to avoid them, but they kept trying to talk to her. They sat at the Slytherin table and ate while receiving mail. Stephanie didn't eat, instead she opened her letter which said:
'Dear Stephanie,
It's been a while since I've talked to you. I'm informing you that your cousin, Layla, will be attending Hogwarts next year. Your father told me this a few days ago. Layla doesn't know this yet since she didn't receive the letter. I just want to tell you to keep an eye on her. I don't want her to get hurt or anything. Please tell me if she's getting bullied or anything and make sure you always have her back even if she's angry with you. Well good luck in school.
Love, Melissa Jackson
P.s. no boyfriends for Layla!'
Stephanie smiled at the letter. She loved her cousin very much. She can't wait for her friends to meet her. Stephanie told Eve the news, who was around her neck as usual.
"What's that, Snape?"
"A letter, Malfoy. Also nice eye." Draco glared at her. He had a black eye since she punched him the other night.
"I know that! Also why aren't you eating?" She has been starving herself ever since Draco called her fat. She's been insecure of her stomach ever since. Before Stephanie could answer, someone interrupted.
"Heads up, everyone. Weasley's gotten himself a Howler!" Seamus screamed. Everyone in the Great Hall looked towards the commotion.
"Go on, Ron. I ignored one from my Gran once... and it was horrible." Froggy boy said.
"RONALD WEASLEY! HOW DARE YOU STEAL THAT CAR! I AM ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTED! YOUR FATHER'S NOW FACING AN INQUIRY AT WORK AND IT'S ENTIRELY YOUR FAULT! IF YOU PUT ANOTHER TOE OUT OF LINE WE'LL BRING YOU STRAIGHT HOME! Oh, and Ginny dear. Congratulations on making Gryffindor. Your father and I are so proud."
The howler ripped itself to pieces as everyone bursted into laughter. Stephanie got up and went to the Gryffindor table. Draco, Crabbe, and Goyle followed.
"Aww Weasel got lectured by his mommy. Are you gonna cry Ronald?" Stephanie said.
"At least I have a mom!" Ron yelled at her.
Stephanie was shocked. Everyone stared at her, wondering what she was going to do.
"You shut your mouth you blood traitor!" Draco yelled.
"Shut up Malfoy! I don't need you!"
"You're just gonna let him say that-"
"I SAID SHUT UP! You're so annoying!"
"Whatever. Crabbe, Goyle let's go. Princess can deal with this herself." Stephanie turned her attention back to Ron.
"Oh Weasley did you forget? Your best friend Harry also doesn't have a mother. Not only did you disrespect me, but you also disrespected him. Poor Harry. I feel bad how he got betrayed by his best friend. See us Slytherins are loyal to each other. We wouldn't betray our friends. You better watch your back Weasley. You should know to never make a girl mad, especially a Loveheart. If you upset a Loveheart you should pray, pray that you survive what's coming to you. You don't wanna mess with me ok?" She grabbed Ron by the collar and whispered into his ear. "Don't ever speak about my mother again. If I ever hear my mother's name coming out of your mouth then I'll kill you and feed you to Eve." She shoved him hard which made him fall the ground. "Have a nice day Ronald!"
Stephanie walked a few feet away then stopped with everyone's eyes on her.
"Oh I forgot to do this." She pulled out her wand and casted a spell that made Ron go flying into the wall. He fell to the ground and started coughing up blood. Without another word she left the Great Hall to the common room. She sat on the leather couch and looked at the fire.
"Remind me to not mess with you ever." Crabbe said.
"Yeah. You're really scary."
"Good. If I was nice I would've been an easy target for someone to mess with. Now they know to not mess with me. Also you watched what happened? I thought you left."
"We went by the exit and watched. Malfoy left, but we stayed."
"We just wanted to make sure you were ok."
"Aww I love you two."
Daphne and Blaise entered the common room.
"Good job Steph! You show Weasel not to mess with a girl like you!"
"You guys know already?"
"Word spreads fast. I wish I was there though. I would've paid to see Weasel get humiliated." Blaise said.
"What is everyone saying about me?"
"That they're not gonna mess with you anytime soon. Most people are scared of you. They don't even want to be near you. Some Slytherins are scared of you too. Showing your inner Snape huh?" Daphne said as she sat next to Stephanie, who laughed at her joke.
"I'm just showing that no one should make me angry, you know?"
"Oh you did more than that." Blaise sat next to Draco, who was glaring at Stephanie. "You basically scared everyone. You scared the older students and all the houses, especially Gryffindor."
"Gryffindor should know not mess with us Slytherins."
"Yeah, well I have to go to class now. See you guys later."
"Bye Steph."
