One of my biggest Total Drama pet peeves?
People shipping Duncan and Gwen because "they're both goth/emo."
Um...people who say this: are y'all oblivious?
Duncan is PUNK. P U N K punk. Gwen is GOTH. G O T H goth. Neither of them are emo. Are the three music styles related to and inspired by each other and do they bounce off of each other? Yes, but they are subcategories of the alternative music genre. At least there's no confusion as to whether or not Gwen is punk, but come on, guys. We're better than this. Duncan is punk. Gwen is goth. Crimson and Ennui are also goth, (honorable mention for further clarification).
It's completely okay to ship them because we all have our own opinions, (even though I extremely disagree with this ship), but don't appropriate music culture to give a reasoning behind your ship.
Maybe, just say that it's because you like them together? Woah. Crazy.
Anyways, that's all. Don't appropriate Duncan and Gwen's alt-lifestyles.
