The nerves kicked in and I feel like something is wedged in my throat making it hard to swallow. Straightening my dress I pick up my bag and go downstairs to see my mum waiting with the camera.
"There's my little girl now who's ready to go to primary!" She half says half squeals.
The camera taking unwanted flashes.
"Oh come on sweetheart, smile for the camera"
I smile to make my mum happy and then we suddenly hear dad lurch out of bed and come downstairs for breakfast
"Oh look at my little girl all ready for her first day at primary!" Dad says excitedly
"Thomas come down and take a picture with your sister before you head of to school!" Dad shouts
"Ok dad I'm coming!"
Thomas races downstairs in his high school uniform and lifts me up into the air doing our favorite aero plane game.
"Who's my favorite sister?"
"I'm your only sister."
"Look who may need to skip a year, smartypants," he says in a brotherly way
"Ok guys, soon all people who need to go to school including me need to head off so everyone in for a group photo." my mum says trying to speed us up
So I get stuck in the middle between dad and Thomas as mum takes a photo
"Right, now everybody let's take a family picture," I put my bag down and mum then puts down the camera as I go at the front with the rest of the family behind me. We wait until it makes a clicking sound and then I pick up my bag and head out the front door with mum and Thomas trailing behind.
"Bye dad!" I call
"Bye Anna have fun at school!"
"Will do dad!" Mum closes the front door and takes my bag as we walk all the way to my new school.
