Chapter 4: Leaving me behind

Authors note: Just thought I'd do a quick note to start, to say that first this chapter might be a little intense and does include a bit of Swearing! Secondly I wrote this chapter quite fast but I've made sure it's good enough to publish, so I hope you enjoy! :)        Also another chapter the next day, who am I? :3

Monday morning meaning school ugh. I don't know how but I arrived there super early this morning, I practically had half an hour until the bell rang for the first period. So I sat in my car quietly reading Pride and Prejudice. 

The rain was slowly falling against my window giving a nice ambience to this gloomy yet peaceful morning. People soon started to arrive and I noticed a rather run-down truck park right next to mine. I had heard of her, Bella Swan. 

She seemed nice enough but we had just never spoken. I looked up at the sound of her door slam, she was hugging her boyfriend Edward Cullen, Jasper's brother. Edward looked at me, his brows furrowed but I looked back down at my book while trying to ignore his stares. 

They soon moved away and that's when I got out of my car and headed to class. English was first today. I had made it there on time thankfully and took my usual spot in the back corner. 

I was silently writing down the date when someone coughed in front of me, I looked up to see Edward smiling at me. I smiled back. 

'Is this seat taken?' he asked carefully. 

I was reluctant to let him sit but I nodded anyway, I might as well get to know Jasper's family if I'm going to date him.. Wait..What am I saying? 

Edward took a seat next to me and smirked randomly. 

I started to ignore him then and went back to writing the questions down. 

'So how are you today?' he asked, trying to make conversation. 

But something about his voice made it seem so fake, like as if he was just trying to get something out of me. 'Edward, I'm not trying to be rude but I know there's something you want. So get it over with' I said. 

He laughed and shook his head. 'Your very clever Y/n. I just wanted to make sure that my brother wasn't falling for the wrong woman but I can see he's in very good hands' said Edward, smiling a bright smile that would dazzle any woman. 

'Mmm you may be trying to charm me to believe your lie with your good looks but I can tell you that it's not going to work' I said strongly. 

He was caught by surprise but seemed annoyed that I didn't take the 'bait'. 

I went back to writing and he didn't dare say anything else for the entire class. The hour had passed quickly and as soon as the bell rang, I left the class so fast that he couldn't follow. 

I could feel my anger starting to boil up inside of me. What was his problem? And what was he hiding about Jasper? There was definitely something I was missing. Just as I made my way to my locker, I was met with Angela who I was friendly with in maths. 

'Hey Y/n, are you okay?' asked Angela kindly. 

'Not really, hey Angela do you know the Cullens?' I asked. 

'I suppose everyone knows about them, why?' asked Angela. 

'Well what do people say about them' I whispered.

Angela lowered her voice too. 'Just that they keep to themselves, don't talk to many people and that there parents always take them out of school for camping when the weather gets nice' said Angela. I nodded, not really sure of what to say next.
