Can't Live If Living Is Without You

Chapter 12: High School Graduation

*Time Skip*

Today was March 3rd, Kageyama and Hinata would be graduating from high school. In June Hinata would turn 18, while Kageyama would turn 18 in December. They had both started Karasuno High School when they were 15-year old teens who hated each other. They can't believe how much their friendship had changed and how much they loved each other now.

Hinata and Kageyama were at Hinata's house getting dressed for their graduation ceremony. Hinata looked over at his boyfriend and smiled remembering their meeting and how much he wanted to kill Kageyama.

Kageyama feeling Hinata's eyes on him, turned around and smiled. He cannot believe this sweet, kind, and thoughtful young man loved him so much. He cannot believe that with everything that has happened Hinata had stuck by his side and seen him through it all. Kageyama couldn't believe his luck, Hinata was his life and he vowed to protect no matter what.

Hinata blushed a bright red from Kageyama starring at him so intently, "what bakayama! Why are you staring at me like that?"

Kageyama walked over to Hinata, "do you love me?"

"What kind of question is that idiot", Hinata said tilting his head. He placed his hand on Kageyama's forehead, "you're not getting sick are you? We're about to graduate, you better not be getting a fever".

Kageyama laughed, "I'm not sick, I just can't believe that you've stayed with me all this time. I was such an ass when we first met. I bullied you, but you saw right through my insecurities and loved me in spite of myself. You taught me to trust and how to love. You saved me Hinata, thank you".

Hinata went on tiptoes and kissed his boyfriend passionately, "we saved each other. I love you, nothing nor no-one will ever change that".

Kageyama looked down at Hinata and smirked, "just wait until tonight, I'm going to show just how much I love you".

Hinata smiled cheekily and asked, "So what are you doing to do to me?"

Kageyama softly whispered in his ear, "I'm going to let you top me", then he walked out the door. Laughing when he heard Hinata scream, "WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAT!!!"

**Time Skip**

It was 6:00 PM, graduation was over, and everyone was gathered in the hotel for the celebration. Kageyama's mother had paid for the festivities. Her husband was out of the country and she wanted the graduates to enjoy they last time together. She had also bought out the rooms for the graduates so they could party as long as they wanted and not worry about having to get home. Mrs. Kageyama figured she would use her husband's dirty money for the benefit of others.

At the celebration Kageyama had invited his former volleyball team members, Daichi, Suga, Asahi, Tanaka, Noya, Ennoshita, Narita, Kinoshita, and Kiyoko. Everyone was laughing and having a great time, but Kageyama's gaze was focused on a ball of sunshine on the dancefloor, laughing, and talking with a group of other graduates. Hinata was happy and having a good time. Kageyama smiled, he hadn't seen Hinata this happy in a while. Lately he had been so closed off and distant, seeing him laughing so freely warmed Kageyama's heart.

Knowing they were being guarded by Master Raizo's men, Kageyama went to check into their room. After receiving two room keys, Kageyama walked over to Hinata and pulled him aside, "Oi, here's your key to the room, don't lose it."

Hinata looked at Kageyama, "Why are you giving this to me, are you leaving so early, are you not having fun?"

Kageyama smiled, "I have to go meet with my mother and sister. You stay here and have fun; I'll see you later".

Looking around nervously, Hinata whispered, "is it safe for me to stay here without you?"

Kageyama leaned down and kissed Hinata on the lips and smiled, "yes very safe".

Hinata's eyes got wide at the public display of affection, he couldn't believe Kageyama just did that. In the two years they've been together Kageyama had never touched him in public, but now he had kissed him. Hinata was frozen and began to panic, did this mean they were both going to die. How could he enjoy himself now knowing Tobio was about to die.

Kageyama stared at Hinata as if seeing straight into his soul and knowing what he was thinking. He stumbled away from Hinata, then walked up to a girl and grabbed her slurring let's dance beautiful. The girl screamed and yelled, "You're drunk get away from me".

Kageyama turned and winked at Hinata, then straightened up and walked over to the volleyball team members. He told them he had to go meet with his family and left. Hinata gulped realizing what Kageyama had just done. He pretended he had kissed Hinata because he was drunk. Hinata's friends gathered round him, "Oh man can't believe Kageyama did that. Where did he get alcohol anyway?"

One guy slapped Hinata on the back laughing, "Hinata I bet that was your first kiss and it was from a guy. You're so unlucky!"

One girl walked up to Hinata and took his arm, "I'll kiss you. That way we'll wipe away Kageyama's drunk kiss".

Hinata smiled, "It's okay. He was so drunk he missed my lips and kissed my cheek instead". Hinata did not want anyone erasing Kageyama's kiss. Laughing loudly, he yelled, "Let's party!"

Everyone yelled "hell yeah" and got back to enjoying the party.
