Tainted. That's what I am. And what I always will be.

Present time. Woods.
2 hours later.

I panted heavily, feeling the last rays of sunlight that seeped into the trees as dusk was calling. The sounds of wildlife could be heard, sparrows calling for their mother, squirrels climbing into trees, and hares scampering to their burrows.

"Agh", I winced,my legs ready to give out,my mind clouded with exhaustion.

But I have to keep going.

Gun in hand,I made sure that there was nobody behind me: no guards,no soldiers,no rapists.

I sighed in relief.

Soon, darkness would reign, embracing the land, chanting a sweet lullaby to the world as it slept.

I couldn't stop though-not until I found a convenient place to sleep for the night.

I sauntered through the trees with no sense of direction, but I assumed that East was in front of me. There should be highways around this place.

And with highways there were cars-and people.

Hustling of the wind could be heard as the leaves crunched below my feet, goosebumps forming on my skin as the cool air rushed onto it.

It was beginning to get cooler now,my thin top and jeans not doing me any good in withstanding the cold.

I was lucky I took that guy's hoodie.

My eyelids begged for rest, but I refused to give in. Not now. I can when it's safe.

I needed to find somewhere to sleep for the night. And it can't be out here. Chances are when the morning comes a party will be sent after me.

Sent for my head.

For killing their men.

My ears suddenly were wide open as my attention was drawn to a sound in the distance.

You hear that,Riot?

Cars.

I smiled, only for it to fade and mould itself into a look of seriousness.

I sprinted towards the sound of the hustle and bustle of the cars as they drove past the intersection, and soon enough they were in my sight.

Cars of various brands sped past me, as I waved my hands frantically, trying to catch the attention of a driver.

"Hey! Can someone pull over? Hey!"

Anyone?

They just drove past,no matter how loud I shouted,or how elaborate I was.
"Hey can you-"

You look stupid.

Noted.

I stopped, letting my arms fall back down in defeat. Nobody caught my attention that way.

How about another idea?

I smirked.

Riot,don't you fucking dare-

I ran straight into the road, waving my arms frantically as an Audi sped towards me.

It pulled over to the side of the highway as I narrowly missed the vehicle that sped behind it,continuing on its course.

I looked towards the Audi that was now nearly parked on the side of the road, the driver situated inside it.

Okay Riot, now put the gun to their head and take that car.
