Ch. 48 // The Proposal Pt.1

Teyana POV:

"Bae, how do I look? I feel so fat" I said pouting in the mirror.

We were finally in beautiful ass Hawaii. Now that I think about it, I wish we went to Jamaica but Hawaii is just a beautiful and I am so far loving it. Ron, Zane, Mijo, and Valerie just got here and couple of hours ago along with all me and Chris's family.Although, I can't flex my sexy ass pack cus this baby... I am truly so happy right now, this is the happiest I've been in a minute.

I manage to put something together so it wouldn't be so noticeable to everyone that I am pregnant.

Chris snaked his arms around my waist and kissed my cheek. "You look so beautiful baby, and I mean it. You really did pull this look off, It doesn't look noticeable."

"You sure papa?"

He nodded in the crook of my neck.

"Na' come on, erryone waitin' for us, so we can check out the beach.."

He kissed my cheek once again before he grabbed his hat.

I put on my MK sandals and grabbed my shades, and phone following him out the door.

"Chris staaaapppp.." I said smirking a little bit.

We were at this beach, chilling and relaxing with our family. Since it was NYE, we were going to come into this new year together. My family was here. Mom, step pops, My grandparents, my brother Tay, Gabrielle, my nephew and niece, and even my dad was here. It's nice seeing all my family here and interacting for once. It just seems like they are always in conflict with each other, but I can tell, tonight all that's in the past.

Chris POV:

Tonight was the night guys.The night that I propose to my beautiful loving, girlfriend, Teyana. Just looking at her admire her family, I can see the love in her eyes that she had for her family depsite all they have been through.

I wrapped my arms around Tey as she sat on my lap.

I smiled as I look over at Ty and Indy all booed up. I looked over to see Mijo and Valerie dancing to some music and Ron and Zane play fighting.

I laughed and shook my head, they are seriously a mess yo but I love them both.

Me, Zane, Ty and Mijo go way back. We all went to high school together.

Even though him and Ronae be on and off, I still believe they are meant to be. I aint never seen a couple love like they do.

"Ima got to the restroom right quick.." I whispered in Tey ear and gripped her waste.

She nodded and stood up. I pecked her lips and made my way back to the beach house.

Once I got in, I saw my mom and Ellis, talking in the kitchen.

I smiled and made my way to the restroom.

I handled my business and washed my hands.

Before exiting, I pulled out my phone to double check that everything was going great.

"Wessup Hallie, hows everything going for tonight?" I asked lowly.

"Hey Chris and yes everything is going fine. Around 11, start making your way towards where the Luau is going to be at. You and Tey sit at the table for two in front of the stage and your family at the other tables behind you. I just sent you an email of how everything is going to go, make sure you have the ring."

I smiled, see that's why I love Hallie, always got shit straight so a nigga neva' stressin' especially for tonight, ion need to be stressing.

"Man Hallie, how do I ever repay you... always going all out for a nigga. I can't stress how much I appreciate you and all you do.." I said.

She laughed a little. "It's fine Chris, I'm just doing my job. Anything to make this night the greatest for you and Tey, you don't need to be worry about how everything is going, but what the hell you fitna say to her when the time comes..."

"Yeah, you right. But I gotta go before she starts wondering where I'm at... Thanks Hallie, I love you and owe you one sis."

She smiled. "No problem Chris and I love you too. Don't mess up na... I'll be watching in the back."

I laughed a little before ending the call with Hallie. She was seriously my right hand, if I didn't have her as my assisant a lot of shit seriously would be fucked up, so I seriously appreciate her so much.

I ran the water as if I was washing my hands and walked out to bump into Tey.

"Hey baeee." I said.

"Hey, you okay? You were taking long so I came to check on you..." She said looking a little worried.

"Yeah, yeah, I'm good ma, I just had to take a big ass shit.." I said bluntly.

"Ew, nasty. TMI Chris." She said making a face as I laughed.

"Guh hush, you actin' you aint smelled my shit befo'!"

"I havent!" She said grabbing my arm as we walked back out to the beach.

"Stop tellin' dem lies Tey." I said and she busted out laughing.

I wrapped my arm around my girl and enjoyed some time with my family before the Luau.

Mama Joyce POV:

It was 11:07pm and we were making our way to where the Luau was gonna be and Lauryn Hill was gonna perform, then Chris would propose.

I was walking with Ellis, holding hands but my mind was everywhere else but on him. I was so worried about Chris.

I didn't want him to mess up. This is one of Tey's most important nights and she doesn't even know it yet. Everyone is here for her, for them.

I have just been praying since the day I found out about the purposal that everything goes find and for God to take everything in his hands.

"You okay honey?" Ellis asked kissing my hand.

I nodded. "I'm fine, just a little worried of how tonight's gonna go with Tey and Chris."

He nodded. "It's gonna be fine. Trust me, we prayed and left it in God's hands and Chris seems very responsible when it comes down to Tey and this night, I'm sure he has everything planned very well."

I smiled and pecked his lips.

"I love you Ellie... so much. Thank you." I said.

He smiled. "I love you more sweetheart."

Gregory (Teyana's Dad) POV:

We arrived at the Luau and I was walking with my grandkids with nothing but this proposal on my mind. I was the only person in Tey's side of the family that knew. India doesn't even know, Tey's grandparents don't, her mom doesn't either.

Christopher reached out to me and asked me to come along and asked me to join them on this beautiful night and even paid for my ticket. After he asked for her hand in marriage.

I thought about it for a while. Even though I'm not around them, I know that they do love each other so much, more than life itself. Whenever she was in New York for some time and separated from him, she was heart broken and I saw it all in her eyes, she still loved Chris.

When I thought about that moment, I had no choice but to except. I would love for my daughter to spend the rest of her days happy with the person she loved like I should have...
