It was the 7th day we had been in the temporal zone doing nothing and everyone was getting cranky so I decided to make pancakes before everyone woke up to cheer everyone up.
Ray was the first one to walk into the kitchen and I already had a plate prepared.
"Hey, Ray! I made pancakes. I know you've been trying to diet so I used a healthier recipe for yours." I said, handing him the plate and a glass of orange juice.
"Oh! Thanks Rose, that was really nice of you."
"No problem. I mean everyone is going a little stir crazy so I figured I'd try and cheer everyone up.
Ray sat down and started eating while I cooked some more until Leo walked in.
"Hey Leo! I made pancakes."
"Oh did you?" He asked, wrapping an arm and my waist and kissing my cheek while I cooked.
"Ray is at the table." I whispered to him, knowing he didn't really like pda.
"I know."
I turned around to face him, confused but he just kissed me before I could ask about his change of heart.
Eventually everyone except Rip had eaten so I decided to take him a plate.
"Hi Rip. Not sure if you got our last message. I told Jonas that you got caught up with work, but I really thought you'd be home by now. London is...things have changed. It's hard to tell what's going on with so many soldiers and rumors. I just want to know you're alright. Wherever you are, whenever you are, I love you, Rip." A holographic projection of a woman said as I stepped into his office.
"Go ahead, Jonas. He's listening."
"Hi daddy. We miss you."
"And love you."
"And love you."
"Uh. Sorry to interrupt." I said and Rip quickly turned off the hologram and turned to face me.
"No not at all. Just catching up on work."
"Right well, I made everyone pancakes and you hadn't come into the kitchen so I brought you a plate." I said, handing him the plate.
"Thank you."
"Yeah, I figured since everyone's been going a little stir crazy I'd try and cheer everyone up."
"Stir crazy?"
"Yeah, we've been sitting in the temporal zone for like a week."
"Has it really been a week?"
"Yeah. Any luck tracking Savage?"
"I'm afraid not."
"Well I could help you look, or Stein he'd probably be better at this kind of thing."
"I've been looking! I apologize. It's just the stakes are so high. I vowed to save my family but I'm failing them. Perhaps I'm not the time master they need."
"Well you're the only one they have so that can't be true. Could Gideon help us?"
"No. When a timeship returns to the vanishing point after a mission, its CPU is updated from the temporal database, which, given my rogue status I've been unable to do."
"So Gideon needs an update?"
"Yes and-"
"Captain, I've just intercepted a deep space transmission. It's a distress signal from the Acheron. She's the-"
"Flagship of the time fleet. Yes I know that. Thank you, Gideon." Rip said as we walked onto the bridge where the rest of the team was waiting because I promised to get an explanation from Rip.
