Chapter 20

Yua's POV
One month had already passed since the fight between Akaza, Sora still declined to train me so I decided to train myself alone and also asked some help with the rock hashira to train me a little. Oyakata-sama didn't forget to give me some missions alone or even with Shinobu. I also grab that chance to use some of the breath forms. It's still not complete but little by little I'm improving. Tanjiro and his friends started to train to recover their stamina and make themselves strong.

And Kyojuro still didn't wake up, I became more worried but Shinobu reassured me that he is fine. Kyojuro's heartbeat and body is normal, but for some reason he can't wake up. Shinobu also told me that he's in coma, so it's normal for him to not wake up in months. Even if she said that, I can't help but to worry too much, what if one day he will never open his eyes anymore, that scared me more than anything else.

I gently grabbed Kyojuro's hand before placing it to my face, his hand was warm and cold at the same time but it's still comforable. I missed him so much, his smile, his laugh, his voice, and his warm hug. I sighed before gently placing his hand down, my hand then went into his soft hair, started playing it.

" Wake up, Kyojuro. Everyone is waiting for your return." I said with a sad smile, I then cupped his face before giving a kiss on his lips. I pulled away when a knock can be heared together with the door opening. I smiled when Senjuro and Shinjuro-san entering.

" Yua-neesan, leave Aniki to us. You still have mission to do." Senjuro said with a smile making me face Kyojuro before facing them and nod. I slowly stand up before approaching them and tapped Senjuro's head.

" I'll be going then." Senjuro nod making me started walking but stopped when his father spoke.

" Take care in your mission." I tilt my head to face him making me smile and nod.

" I will."

After talking to Shinjuro-san, and Tanjiro headbutted him, he changed. Shinjuro-san also apologized to Senjuro and to me, I became happy when he did that and I can't wait for Kyojuro to wake up and talk to his father happily. When I went outside, Sora can be seen waiting with his back turned away from me. A smile form in my lips, he complains that he don't want to go in a mission with me yet he is waiting for me.

Yes, we had a mission together, it's Oyakata-sama's request making Sora forcely agreed. I should be the one who will take this mission but Oyakata-sama suddenly change his plan and make Sora come with me. A Hashira is here, so it means we will face one of the upper moon demon like Akaza. Sora and I should be cautious, but my little brother is careless and hot blooded when it comes to demons. I think Shinazugawa influence him too much, I heard from Shinobu that he is the one who trained Sora in using sword. This mission will be complicated.

The whole journey was quite, the two of us didn't talk to each other, even if I want to start a conversation, I can't. Everytime I look at Sora he had that cold and annoyed face all the time making me back away from talking to him. I sighed and started looking around, my eyes caught a man with a bag in his hands. He seems noticed me making him smiled kindly, I returned the smile before facing infront again. He seems working in the fields below the road, I hope demon will not attack him.

Hiro then landed towards my shoulder while telling that we're already near at the village that we will investigate. The village was said to be one of the wealthiest, but for there are lots of people disappearing and ended up dying. Some of the demon slayers was sent but none of them ever reported back. Like Hiro said we arrived and I was amazed, the place was wide, the houses were also big and there are lots of people.

Sora didn't said anything and started walking making me followed him, while the two of us entered, I started looking around and observed the place. It's true that this place was wealthy, I can see some expensive clothes and jewelries in some of the store. Also, this place had too much people, no wonder demons love to stay in here.

" We're separating." Sora suddenly said and started walking in the opposite direction.

" Wait Sora, it's better if we bo-"

" Shut up, I'll handle this alone." He didn't let me finish and disappeared making me sigh, well I already knew this would happen. I then continued walking and observing the place carefully, I can't sense something weird but I felt uneasy. While walking, someone suddenly bumped me making that person fell down.

" I'm sorry, are you okay?" I asked before extending my hand to help her. She didn't said anything but faced me, she had a silver hair and also crimson cold eyes and she is younger than me. She didn't grabbed my hand and stand up before running, I just blinked my eyes and stared at her back. Kids nowadays are kind of rude, but her presense is kinda weird too. Shrugging it off, I continued walking, night will come soon and it's possible that demon will appear.

It's started to get dark, the lights in the street was on, the place was still crowded. People are buying, talking, eating or even couples are having a date. They are not aware of anything, demons who can devour them anytime. But this place is really weird, every people who knew that something bad is happening in their place always lock themselves when night came. Yet, this place is different, they are not aware of danger, that means no demon devoured a human in here.

It feels like they are hiding and waiting for the chance to attack humans. Yet, why does the other demon slayer who was sent never reported back? This place is really something, if one of the twelve kizuki's are here then, they should start devouring humans in this place.

" What a handsome young man, are you free?"

" You should work in here, ladies will like you."

I stopped from walking and also from thingking, my head tilt towards the place where womens were crowded. Do they have visitors? I can't see the person they are talking to but only his black messy hair can be seen. Wait? Black messy hair? I knew that hairstyle, without hesistating I approach them and my eyes widened. Sora was in the middle, just staring at the ladies who crowded him.

" Oh, you're holding a sword. Is that fake?" One of the lady ask while trying to touch the sword but Sora backed away before glaring at her making the lady flinch in surprise.

" I didn't came here to waste my time with you, I came here to investigate." Sora said coldly making me sigh, I forgot Shinobu told me that he is a straightforward person when it comes to mission.

" Investigate? Are you a police officer?" The other lady asked, before Sora answered something I went beside Sora and smiled at the ladies.

" I'm sorry, my little brother is trying hard to become a police officer." I said making the girl look at me, and I can also feel the glare in Sora's eyes towards me.

" Oh, you're his sister? You're pretty, do you want to work in here?" The lady infront of me asked while grabbing one of my hand.

" I'm sorry to say this, but I already had a work. So please excuse me and my brother." I said kindly before pulling Sora and left the place where the ladies are in. When we were far enough Sora roughly pulled away his hand making the two of us stopped and faced each other.

" Why did you interfere??" He asked  with annoyed voice making me sigh.

" If I didn't those ladies can't believe you and not let you investigate. People don't know about us and you should know that." I said while facing him seriously, he didn't said anything but scoffed.

" You don't need to tell me."

" Yes, I know. But you nearly told them about demon slayer. Now, we should investigate together." I said earning a glare frome him but I ignored it. " I don't care if you don't want to, I'll follow you." I continued, he scoffed again before walking away making me followed him.

Really, what should I do with this little brother of mine?

Uwaaah!! I'm so sorry for the  late update, I was so busy in coping up from my school activities and forgot to update this chapter. This December will be the end of our First Semester so author-san is kinda busy.
