"TECHNOBLADE!" Tommy shouted, jumping back as one of the withers fired his way.
"Oh my god-" Tubbo's voice broke, the boy frozen in place. "Oh my g-god!"
Tommy grabbed Tubbo's arm and pulled him along, breaking the smaller boy out of his trance. "Tubbo! We gotta go we gotta go we gotta go!" Tommy yelled.
They ran off, explosions sounding left and right, the sounds of battle echoing through the area. The two withers had split up and were now destroying everything in their path, using explosive black skulls as ammunition. Tubbo spun around and drew his bow on one of the beasts, firing arrows through the sky. Tommy began to do the same, soon both boys were firing a plethora of arrows side by side. They split up after a while to fire from different angels, until Technoblade started attacking Karl.
"TECHNOBLADE STOP!" Technoblade had Karl pinned to the ground, a sword at his throat.
"What? Do you think I'm just going to let you kill them?" Technoblade chuckled. Raising his sword to deal the final blow. Moments before the blade of his sword made contact with Karl's throat, Tubbo was able to strike Technoblade in the shoulder with an arrow. The pink haired anarchist spun around, looking for whoever shot the arrow. That gave Karl enough time to slip away from Technoblade's grasp, running away to gather himself. Technoblade and Tubbo made eye contact for a few moments before getting distracted by the chaos around them.
One of the withers went into combat mode, spinning around and sending people flying. Tommy managed to see Fundy get hit in the side of the arm and thrown a good 15 feet away. He then turned to see one of the withers, the one that wasn't in combat mode, start firing down on Eret and Nikki.
"C'MERE BITCH! FIGHT ME LIKE A MAN- THING- WHATEVER THE HELL YOU ARE!" Tommy shouted, laughing a bit. He leaped onto the beast, slicing his sword down its back. The wither let out a ear-piercing cry, lashing around in attempts to throw Tommy off. Tommy dug his sword deeper into its back, determined to hold on as long as he could. Suddenly, the wither fell to the ground, squashing Tommy beneath its weight. "MRPH-" Tommy attempted to curse, though it came out muffled. He reached for his sword handle and pushed it deeper into the wither's back, causing the wither to lift of into the air with a pain ridden screech. Eret slid down and helped Tommy up, guarding Tommy as he took a few breaths of air.
"Are you alright?" Eret asked, holding his shield up to protect the two incase they were attacked.
"I'm fine I'm fine-" Tommy started, before getting interrupted by someone's cry.
"Help!"
Tommy turned to see Fundy cradling his arm on the ground, unable to defend himself as the wither he'd just been fighting floated over, getting ready to strike. An arrow zipped past, striking the large beast in the shoulder blade, causing it to turn around. Tommy looked over to see Tubbo with a bow and arrow in hand, giving a triumphant smile. "YEAH! TAKE THAT YOU LOUSY COW!" Tubbo cheered, making Tommy chuckle. He raised his sword to swipe at the wither as it flew over head, trying to figure out who to attack. "Lousy cow? That's the best you could do?" Tommy teased as he ran up beside Tubbo to aid in the defense. Tubbo looked over and punched Tommy in the shoulder. "Don't blame me! I cant think of good insults in tense situations!"
Tommy laughed. "I can think of plenty! Like OI DICK HEAD! YOU GOT SOMETHIN IN YOUR NON-EXISTANT TEETH!" Tommy finished, then looked over with a laugh at Tubbo. "Alright, not my best insult." Tubbo and Tommy laughed, and for a moment he had completely forgotten that there was a battle going on around them.. They were just being best friends in that very special moment.
Of course, the moment couldn't last. The wither they had been fighting had started getting closer to the ground, making them assume that it was going into combat mode. Tommy couldn't have been more surprised when he looked up to see a wither skull being fired full force directly at Tubbo. Time seemed to slow down... Everything seemed to slow down. The only thing that was happening was the moment they stood in... that one split second. "Tubbo look out!-" Tommy shouted before shoving Tubbo out of the way and faced the wither skull head on. He wasn't an idiot, he didn't want to get hit! But as he began to raise his shield, he knew he wouldn't have enough time deflect it. The wither skull was already right in front of him.
He stood there, frozen in time. What led him to this moment? What had brought him to this point, where he knew that he probably wouldn't see the aftermath of his actions? He thought about all the amazing memories he had with Tubbo... With Wilbur- WILBUR! Wilbur blew up L'manburg... Wilbur did this.. he must have. But, he was his mentor, his older brother figure, and for some stupid reason he always forgave him... He needed to forgive him. Tommy remembered when he and Tubbo were sat on the bench, right before the election. Right before everything went wrong. He had given Tommy the pufferfish that Tubbo had cherished since the beginning of the server. Where was that puffer fish anyway? Guess he'll never know... Tommy smiled, he was happy he had those moments... and he'll hold onto them forever. A large salty tear ran down his cheek as the time finally started up again.
CRACK
The wither skull made contact, hitting him directly in the chest. The force of the impact sent Tommy flying through the air, hitting against Ninjas alleyway. Upon impact his head cracked against the stone, his body then slid down the side only to bounce off the grass a few times before coming to a motionless stop. All Tommy remembered was his friends slowly spiraling away into nothingness...
(Oooh, cliff hanger! I added a bunch of chapters together so that each chapter would be longer. Ill try and post every week! )
